Recording a story got a lot friendlier
- Redo just one page: Fluffed a line? Re-record a single page, a whole chapter, or the entire take. Only that part is replaced, the rest of your recording stays as it was.
- Half-done takes are saved as drafts: Leave in the middle of a recording and it waits for you as a draft. Pick it up later with Finish recording.
- Listen inside the book: Recordings now play in the same reader you record in. The words light up as they are read and the pictures follow along, including picture-only pages.
- Skip page by page while listening: Previous and next page buttons jump the audio and turn the page together, so you always land where the story is.
- Hands-free reading: One tap on the microphone starts recording and word tracking. The screen stays awake, small stumbles over words are forgiven, and the reader keeps up past pictures.
- Fairer mic check: The background-noise test now judges how loud the room actually is, so a quiet room passes. Tapping Continue after the test starts recording again.
- Your recordings are private: Only your account and the people you have shared a recording with can hear it. Family and friends can record from an invite link without creating an account.
- See what changed: This page. Open What's New from the menu any time to see what each update brought.
