Walmart card has its Pros and Cons and I am sometimes frustrated until I start reading about them and the support they provide when something goes wrong. My lack of knowledge should not be a problem for them and I am sorry for going off on the phone. Customer care is top notch and they know what they are talking about so I am glad I listened first. My problem was solved right away. Who knew? Read and I finally know the benefits are good and I just cannot let go of my card., they are there, better than the high end banks. Customer care is the best and they understand the pain and they take the time to let you know you do not have to suffer in silence. They could, however, educate the Walmart money store employees though. Some are nice but those young ones have an attitude and should be trained by the 1800 they throw at you. If they are trained then that would be 360 support, no doubt. Thank you Walmart for caring. Thank you customer support. Again sorry if I lost my cool.

I’ve had this card for a long time. I’ve been locked out of my account with my card locked before. It happens frequently once every year or two. Always at an inconvenient time it seems. I say frequently because I feel this type of thing shouldn’t happen ever maybe one time but several times? I stayed around for the custom card picture which was the deciding factor in purchasing the card. I about freaked out when they said my card was going to get a chip thinking it was going to mess up the picture of my wife and kids that was imprinted on the card. I could still see everyone . Recently they sent me a new card all silver with the Walmart logo on it devoid of the image that made me smile from time to time. I held off activating the silver card and received an email today stating they delayed charging a service fee so they were going through do a double charge this month 🤣 I couldn’t find the cancel account option fast enough (took a whole 4 minutes between notification of intention to double down with a plain card and the notification that I had closed my account) It’s been a good run ten years or so but there’s better options out there to find I’m sure I’ll find one. On a final note I did use this card for a while and it maybe a great fit for some it has just fallen out of favor with me.

For background info, I've had a moneycard for 3 years. Multiple over the years from losing them but point still stands. The most recent on I got over a year ago and has been activated and working great. I went to go move money from my savings (still there btw) to checking and I get the pop up ad to download the new app, so I did. When I try to log in the the new app with my login information it signs me in to an OLD account, very old and CLOSED. I try texting the help support thing but it says my active card is not activated, so thats not helpful. I then create a new account and try to link my card and bank but it will not let me link the bank. So I CALL customer support, the first one was not helpful at all and did not understand what I was saying so I gave up on that. I gave it a few days and tried again earlier and it still was not working so I called customer support again, this time a ticket was created but I still have not heard anything back and I NEED the money in my savings out of my savings. I have never had this many issues with this card or app. No one is helping and my money is sitting there while I need it.

I’ve had the Walmart Money Card for over 10 years, maybe close to 15, and I never had any complaints until the last couple of years. A year or so before the old app went away it started glitching constantly. It was horrible. The new app was released and it’s still problematic. Yes, half the time it won’t let me log in but I just do it again and it works. So while that shouldn’t happen everything else is so bad that I don’t even care about that. What really miffed me was that I had to leave a big bag of clothes at a store to come back for at a later time because MY CARD WOULDNT UNLOCK!!!!! I tried and tried and tried until I finally swallowed my pride and had to ask a worker if they could hold my items so I could come back next day. Do you know how humiliating that is?? Completely unacceptable. That feature wouldn’t work for over 12 hours. I couldn’t get my items or go to the grocery store or get gas after. I do also miss the slide for balance but to be clear that feature didn’t work on the old app for a year plus.
