Bought a Series S ver V 450s, came with the pro controller, website showed a dual timer function but its only one timer, so I can’t do a siesta light schedule which is fine. However, app updated last week and there’s a new UI and now nothing works and can’t connect to my light. I lost two fish yesterday because my CO2 kicked on, but my light did not.

The timer on this tank does not actually work. Lights do not turn on/off as set in the app, and instead have to be manually turned on. Support is nonexistent, so you’re on your own if this happens. I was able to get it to work for one week by creating a plant start schedule and saving, but after needing to adjust the COLOR settings for new plants, not the timer, the timer is messed up again. It will also turn on randomly at midnight while I’m sleeping. I really regret this purchase solely because the app is so bad (defeats the whole purpose of buying this light). Chihiros has a much better app.

I was excited to see group control land, but alas it doesn’t work. After setting up a group and connecting to the main, the linked devices don’t sync at all or obey the controls (I have lightcontrol pro with two 1200S V)The usability of the app could be improved, the menu letters at the bottom are confusing (H button doesn’t work at all). They should look at AquaIllumination’s app for some inspiration. For example a quick option to turn light on temporarily for 10min, 30min, or 60min.The Timer works but is too simple. I want to control schedule and light/color at the same time.

This is my first experience with the app. I just got my lights last week. The lights are amazing. The app when it works is good twin star it seems you have a problem with the app always connecting to the lights. I’m having to reboot my phone to get it to connect. Would love for you guys to look into that problem.

Light Control 2.0.5 Updates: - New UI design applied. - Real-time info display (remaining time, average brightness). - Group control applies only to timer and power ON/OFF. Each device can have different brightness and color.
