I am a 59 year old, 20 year Army Artillery Veteran. My Miracle Ear ME4’s are my first experience wearing hearing aids. In honest assessment, aids require the user to work with the audiologist in order to “tune” them to best overcome your particular hearing loss. I am a hospital clinical engineer and understand the concept of frequency alignment in gain and volume to overcome my own loss. In my experience, my hearing aids have returned me to be able to hear frogs singing and bees buzzing. The staff I visit at the Milroy office located here in PA are in my opinion top notch and I could not appreciate their efforts with me more. Tony Pellman

The hearing aids are such a blessing. I like the fact that you can cut them down in a noisy environment. I also like the fact that you can watch TV and be the only one hearing the television. I also like the fact that you can listen to music while working out at the gym or the news or podcasts. It’s really helped my wife and I’s relationship being able to understand what she’s saying because she’s got such a high-pitched voice and that’s where I lack hearing. I could not believe the sounds that I was hearing after I put them in. It was amazing walking through a grocery store in here in the pots and the pans being moved in. I didn’t realize I was missing out as I said before these have really been a blessing to me thank you Miracle here.

This app works well for changing the volume and creating equalizer modes. My big issue, however, is that while it will save my various equalizer modes as a group of selections, the whole system resets every time I put my hearing aids back in the charger. The volume defaults back to 5 for each ear. The equalizer mode also returns to its default setting, which means that every morning, I have to reset the volume back to my comfort levels and reselect my preferred equalizer mode.Another issue, and I don’t know if this is an Apple phone issue or something with the app, my phone sounds are extremely loud in my ear, and although I’ve changed the settings on my phone, it doesn’t seem to make a difference in the hearing aids. I can still adjust the volume for regular use as well as music streaming.

I’m very happy with my new hearing aids. They are very comfortable and it feels like I’m not even wearing them. My only complaint is that when I adjust the individual aids to increase the volume, they frequently default back to the middle setting of number 5 and I have to constantly go back and increase the volume to a higher number.
