Your friends don't need to download ZipSplit. They don't need an account. They don't need to enter a phone number. They tap the message in iMessage and the claim screen opens instantly. App Clip on iPhone, web for everyone else. They tap what they ate, see what they owe, and get a one-tap link to send you money in whichever app you both use. This means ZipSplit actually works on the first dinner. No "wait, can everyone download something real quick?" No three friends who never install it and never pay. Just send and done. MATH THAT ACTUALLY WORKS Most bill-splitters get the easy cases right and the real cases wrong. ZipSplit handles the awkward ones: • Tax and tip prorated by what each person actually ordered, not divided equally • Shared appetizers split evenly across the whole table with one tap • Service charges and processing fees handled like tax (proportional, not flat) • Partial items supported with one-tap ½ and ⅓ fractions, or claim exact counts on multi-quantity items • Rounding residual goes to the host so receipt totals always reconcile to the penny If you've ever paid for someone else's $40 cocktail because they "forgot," this is for you. Look back at any past dinner, or reactivate a split to collect what's still owed • New receipt parsing engine: faster, more accurate, and easier to correct when a line reads wrong • Redesigned claiming: tap to claim, one-tap ½ and ⅓ fractions, shared items split across the whole table • Push notifications when friends claim their items and tap to pay • Refreshed home screen: live splits with a to-collect countdown, past splits grouped by month • Delete any split, or clear your whole history, straight from the app. Both remove the data from our server immediately • Plenty of bug fixes and polish under the hood
