I have used ATS weather to go for a long time and not sure why I waited so to express how great this app really is. I am somewhat a weather nerd, storm chaser in the 80 and 90’s in the Texas Panhandle. Wished this app was around back then. We live in the county outside of El Reno. The alert for twisting wind approaching your location is life savings. Living in the country in a mobile home is a risk in Oklahoma but I trust this app to advise me when it’s time to get out. Usually get alerts as much as 10 mins before NWS for possible tornado. We had one come down Highway 66 a year or so ago. We got the alert and was in storm shelter before warning was issued. I have 7 different radars as well as pivotal weather subscriptions to stay informed but Mr. Tuttle and his app does it all with no hype. Something you can’t find on local TV. ATS is my #1 go too. You can use it anyplace you live. My son used it in Korea during his tour. My brother uses it on the coast and is helpful during hurricane season. So bottom line, install the app today!

I’m a native Oklahoman and armchair meteorologist like the rest of us Okies... this is the only weather app you need. I like that I have family, friends, work, and home locations saved so I get alerts for tornados (and a host of other weather alerts that I customize). One of my favorites is the lightning within 15 miles alert - keeps us safe when we play or swim outdoors. I have received AT’s twisting storm alert ahead of the Tulsa nighttime tornado a few years ago and also for the Lincoln county EF4 that hit in 2013 near my mom’s house. I also appreciate the BTI index so I know how worried to be when the other weather guys are dancing and screaming on tv. Thanks to AT’s weather app and his calm live broadcasts, I can sleep better at night & know we will receive fair warning in case of a dangerous storm.

Numerous people have given testimony to the fact that this app has been a crucial part of staying safe during some very severe weather. All of those testimonies are true. AT is the hardest working person I have seen in the weather world. He works a full time job and then works some more on his off time to do forecasts, developing his app, developing his own weather studio, doing lives during his lunch break and doing lives that last hours during outbreaks….all this and much more. People that sacrifice so much of their personal time to do something they truly believe in are good people in my book. Today, I was worried about my Dad traveling from Texas back to Moore because of inclement weather coming through so I messaged AT for advice….I didn’t think he would answer because he is really busy and probably gets hundreds of messages but he took time out to answer me personally. He just gained a life long supporter. Thank you for all of your hard work AT. Get the app. You can use it no matter where you travel.
