The app runs smoothly for the most part but they made it so that you cannot use the app anymore without sharing your location with them even though it wasn’t required a few months ago, seems kinda fishy

This app is several updates and modifications behind the web based platform. If anything it should mirror the users filters that are already set in place and it doesn’t. Several issues finding work orders as well. I’ve given up..UGH!

FIXED
- Long‑pressing the tracking number of a work order failed to copy the value to the clipboard as expected. With this release, tracking and WO numbers can be copied by long-pressing the corresponding field.
- When you created a work order through Site Planning and selected an asset, the asset was not added to the work order. This caused incomplete work orders and required manual correction afterward. Now, the asset will be added to the work order as expected.
- When you edit image attachments in the app, you can draw using a full range of colors. The color picker is now fully functional and no longer restricted to black.
2603.2 Mar 31
FIXED
- In some cases, the Clear All button was either grayed out or did not clear the selected filters. The Clear All button now works correctly and consistently clears all selected filters.
- On iPad, the bottom navigation bar overlapped the Add to List button on the Checklists and Checklist Items screens in Site Planning. No more overlapping!
- When you created a work order through Site Planning and selected an asset during the creation process, the asset was not added to the resulting work order. This caused incomplete work orders and required manual correction afterward. Now, the asset will be added to the work order created via Site Planning, as expected.
2603.1 Mar 18
FIXED
- After selecting a location and clicking Create Work Order, you were required to select the location again. This extra step was unnecessary and slowed down the work order creation process. We've removed the redundant second location selection.
- We've resolved a visibility issue in Site Planning related to user permissions. Previously, those who didn't have the Site Auditor role were still able to see the Site Planning module. This exposed functionality that should have been restricted and could lead to confusion or unauthorized access attempts. We corrected the permission logic.
2602.2 Feb 26
No visible changes for this version. We are currently working on new features that are going live down the road. Stay tuned!
2602.1 Feb 17
- During the work order creation process, if you changed the provider on the Confirm WO Information screen and then selected Confirm/Create WO, the provider reverted to the original one after the page loaded. We fixed the issue so that when you change the provider on the Confirm WO Information screen, the selected provider is correctly saved and retained.
2601.2 Feb 4
NEW
- The Filters functionality view has been updated. The Select All button is now available for each filter. Additionally, the Reset button on the filters list has been renamed Clear All. These changes affected WO, Invoices, and Proposals filtering.
2601.1 Jan 14
- During work order creation with interactive troubleshooting, you can now select date and time for the corresponding questions.
- This update introduces a prompt for creating work orders when failed items are detected during site audits. When completing a site audit, if an item is marked as Fail, you will now see a prompt offering two options: Yes, create WO – Proceed to create a work order for the failed item; No, go back – Return to the list of site planning items without creating a work order.
2512.1 12/17/2025
NEW
- We’ve enhanced the user experience by introducing a more intuitive way to close the Navigation bar. Previously, you had to tap outside the modal to close the Navigation bar. You can now swipe the modal down to close the Navigation bar. It provides a faster and more natural interaction.
- We’ve introduced a new functionality that makes it easier to navigate to store locations directly from the SC Mobile app. You can now quickly access directions to a store from the Work Order details, Location details and Map View. To do that, select the location pin and choose your preferred navigation app from the Selection pop-up.
FIXED
- Occasionally, on the Select Account screen, you had to enter the full account name to locate an account on the Select Account screen and login. You can now perform an account search using partial matches, making it faster and more convenient to find the right account and login succesfully.
2511.2 12/03/2025
NEW
- The location notes on the work order details screen have been refreshed with a new look!
- What happens to attachments added to a work order without a comment? Well, they are posted as system notes, and all followers receive a notification. We’ve revised the warning message that you see upon trying to add an attachment without a comment, so now you know exactly what to expect next.
FIXED
- The alphabetical scroll bar went missing from the screen for selecting WO note recipients. With this release, it’s back in action, making it easier to find the required email!
- After you scanned an asset tag and chose to create a new asset, the app didn’t prepopulate the scanned tag on the “Create Asset” screen. The issue has been resolved. Once scanned, asset tags are now properly captured and carried over to the expected field during the asset creation process.
- Reassigning a work order to a provider with a different preferred currency didn’t trigger NTE recalculation. Conversions now apply properly.
2511.1 11/20/2025
FIXED
- Attempting to update the trade on a work order without changing the provider, you could received the Invalid Provider ID error message. This occurred because the system required a reason for reassignment, even though the provider remained unchanged. The Reason field is now hidden when updating the trade without updating the provider, preventing unnecessary validation errors.
- Even with the Enable Location Attachments preference turned on in dashboard settings, you were unable to view location attachments on the Location Notes screen. Location attachments are now visible on the Location Notes screen when the preference is enabled, as expected.
- Occaionally, when you logged into the app, you've bumped into the following system error message: Setup IDs: 0 do not belong to current subscriber. This disrupted access and caused confusion. The error has been resolved. You can now log into the app without encountering this message.
- While creating a work order, users could accidentally select categories that were listed in the Exclude Categories for Selection setting in their dashboard. This led to unintended category assignments. Excluded categories are now hidden during work order creation. You can no longer select categories that have been marked as excluded in dashboard settings.
2510.1 10/29/2025
- In specific cases, you were unable to validate assets associated with PM work orders generated via the scheduling asset inventory flow. This was due to limitations in how asset rules were applied, especially when the work order trade was not set to Asset Inventory. We’ve updated the validation logic to support broader use cases. You can now configure asset validation rules directly from the Administration > Dashboard Settings page in Service Automation to ensure proper validation in the SC Mobile app. If a PM work order is created based on rules defined in the asset dashboard settings, the asset inventory flow will be available regardless of the work order’s trade.
2509.2 10/10/2025
NEW
- The time period filter option has been added on the Site Planning screen. Use it to view site audits for a specific period of time. The following options are available: Past Month, Past 3 Months, Past 12 Months, and custom Date Range.
FIXED
- After you switched to the EU instance and then logged out, you were unexpectedly redirected back to the Global instance upon their next login. The system now correctly retains the selected EU instance after logout.
- The Materials Description field has been reinstated in the Materials section of the proposal details view screen.
- When you added an email address in a new WO note, the Cancel and Save buttons disappeared, preventing you from completing or discarding the note. We’ve restored the visibility of the Cancel and Save buttons.
2509.1 09/24/2025
NEW
- A face ID login icon has been added to the app login screen, allowing you to authenticate quickly and securely using biometric recognition. This enhancement streamlines the login process, improving overall user convenience.
FIXED
- During the work order creation process, if a user changed the default dashboard to another one and then scanned an asset, the system incorrectly validated the asset type against the Equipment column in the default dashboard’s issue list, rather than the selected dashboard’s issue list. This caused mismatches and potential confusion in asset validation. The asset type is now correctly compared against the Equipment column in the currently selected dashboard’s issue list, ensuring accurate and context-aware asset validation.
- When you were approving an invoice in the SC Mobile app, the additional approval code field appeared as a text box, whereas in Service Automation, it was displayed as a drop-down menu. The SC Mobile app has been updated to match the behavior of Service Automation. The additional approval code field now appears as a drop-down menu, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience across both platforms.
2508.2 09/10/2025
FIXED
- Accidentally, users without proposal permissions were able to search proposals by number. We've removed this ability.
- MLI users might have noticed the absence of the Reviewed status in the invoices filter. We've revived it.
2508.1 08/25/2025
- Some of you who are logged into the app via single sign-on (SSO) system might have faced the following issue. After entering the username and password on your organization's sign-in page, you weren't redirected to the app Home screen. Thus, you weren't logged into the app as expected. We have addressed this issue.
2507.2.1 07/29/2025
NEW
- Biometric authentication is now available in the SC Mobile app. If your device has Face ID enabled, you can set it up for login. All Face IDs registered on the device can be used to log in. Note that if Face ID authentication fails three times, the app will revert to password authentication.
- The Description field has been added to the Asset Record screen. Here, you can view, add, edit, and remove the asset description. You can enter up to 500 characters in this field.
- We have redesigned the Log In and Home screens to elevate your experience. Embrace the fresh new look and feel!
- You can save up to 3 filter combos for the Work Orders, Proposals, and Invoices modules. Select the + Add button under the section for which you want to add saved filters. You'll be redirected to the Work Order Filters, Invoices Filters, or Proposals Filters page accordingly. Here, you can select desired options from the drop-down menus.
- You can sort work orders and proposals with ease. Watch for the new Sort button in the WOs and proposals list views. Easily organize your work orders and proposals to manage the most urgent ones first.
FIXED
- Upon updating an asset, you might have noticed the install date was unexpectedly shifted by one day. This is no longer the issue.
2507.2 07/24/2025
NEW
- You can now filter your site audits by the Unsaved status. The Unsaved option has been added under the Open option in the Filter by Status overlay on the Site Planning screen.
2507.1 07/16/2025
NEW
- Share work order notes with your colleagues and providers right from the mobile app! Select the note you want to send by long-pressing it and then tap “Share.” Choose the app through which you want to send the message. The message will include your username, tracking number, date, time, and note.
- A pin icon on the “Notes” tab now tells you whether a work order has a pinned note for your review.
- When you post a WO note and activate the “Action Required” flag, the current provider will automatically be selected as the recipient. To add clarity to the process, we’ve adjusted the way provider’s emails are displayed, especially when the provider has several emails. Don’t have this feature yet? Reach out to your ServiceChannel representative to try it out.
- Via dashboard settings, it’s possible to limit users' access to work order notes in the mobile app. Contact your ServiceChannel representative if you would like to have this level of control over WO notes.
2506.2 07/08/2025
FIXED
- Attempting to create a work order, you observed the Area drop-down menu was empty, which hindered your ability to move forward with the process. We have successfully restored the Area drop-down options.
- The Proposals tab was available in the Locations module even if you didn't have permission to access it. To prevent confusion, we have removed it for those who do not have the required permission.
- You couldn't log into the app via the single sign-on service (SSO), and there was no error message indicating what was wrong. In this case, you'll now see the following error message: Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again.
2506.1 06/18/2025
NEW
- From this release, we will no longer support the ServiceChannel Mobile app for Apple devices using iOS versions older than 17.0. The app will continue to work for those devices running older operating systems, but you will not be able to update them with bug fixes, security updates, or new features. Make sure your device is up to date!
FIXED
- During a work order creation in the Locations module, when you attempted to add a manually searched asset to a work order, you've encountered the error message stating that the Location ID did not belong to the current subscriber. This issue has now been resolved, and you can successfully create a work order in this situation.
- While filtering work orders, you received results that didn’t align with the criteria you had set. Now, the filters apply as expected.
2505.2 06/05/2025
FIXED
- While filtering proposals, you received results that didn’t align with the criteria you had set. Now, the filters apply as expected.
2505.1 05/18/2025
FIXED
- Previously, you couldn't filter work orders by selecting more than 10 providers. We are pleased to announce that this restriction has now been lifted.
- Sometimes, while attempting to filter work orders by a specific date range, you encountered a system error message. You can now successfully filter work orders by date range without any error messages.
2504.2 04/30/2025
FIXED
- For those of you who are using a new filter design, the standalone proposal couldn't be approved. Instead, you saw the following error message: Response is not supported. We've fixed the issue so you can approve proposals without error messages.
- In the Work Orders and Locations modules, filtering by location ID or location name resulted in an unspecified error message. Also, the results of the District and Region filters were swapped. Both annoyances are now fixed.
2504.1 04/23/2025
NEW
- Meet the new filter design in the Work Orders, Proposals, Locations, and Invoices modules. You can filter for all work orders in your district or region at once and save the applied filters for quick access in the future. We’ve also added the option to filter work orders by extended status, like Waiting for Parts or Pending Approval. On the Work Order Filters screen, the Status filter has been renamed Status / Extended Status. On the Select Status screen, you can choose a combination of primary and extended statuses or select all of them at once. Contact your ServiceChannel representative to enable the following functionality.
- The redesigned Home Screen in the SC Mobile app is here to elevate your experience! The new design brings the following functionality: start the work order creation process directly from the home screen, choose which modules to display on the home screen and in what order, and use the Search option on the home screen to find work orders, proposals, or locations. Navigate to the Profile screen via the icon in the top right corner to access the subsequent sections: Alerts, Edit Home Screen, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. Contact your ServiceChannel representative to enable the following functionality.
FIXED
- Occasionally, asset waranty overrides configured in your dashboard issue list were ignored, and work order creation email was sent to the wrong provider. We've done with this issue.
