Such a great app

Overall, this app is great. It tells you how much steps you take, and how many calories you burned! The best part about it is that there is a Active Bot and a Lazy Bot; it’s like a competition! They Lazy Bot doesn’t take much steps, meanwhile the Active Bot gives you more of a challenge. You can taunt these bots to make them go faster, making it even more of a challenge. Oh, and I almost forgot it tells you how much miles you ran too! Invite some friends to the app, make this fun. There is also a sync to wearable feature, I personally don’t use it but I see how that could be useful (Example: you can pair it to your Apple Watch!) This app calculates your steps even if your phone is off, so there is no need to waste battery by staying on the app the whole time. It shows today’s steps, yesterday’s steps, and your 7 day average. I bet there is so many other features that I haven’t listed, but this app is so great! 5 stars.

I have used StepUp for approximately 2 years, but in the past 2 months, my friends have disappeared from my screen and I cannot get them back. Your app is telling me that I am offline, but I am not.

I sent this review a week or so ago. And you published a message saying you would have a fix fir this problem in a week. Still no fix, and you are not responding to me. What is the problem and why aren’t you fixing it?

Developer Response ,

Facebook finally fixed their issue, and you should be able to see your friends on StepUp again! 🎉
Sorry for the delay, and thank you for your patience! 🙏

“Lazy Bot” is a brilliant idea!

This app is, like many others, a competent step counter. The idea of a “lazy bot,“ is what makes this app *potentially* so brilliant.

The app makes you want to stay ahead of the lazy bot while also giving you something to try to pass (a more ambitious sibling). That said, the lazy but does not seem to get any better.

The developer should program the lazy bot to stay hot on your heels behind you, sometimes even passing you. There is quite a lot that could be done with this gamification.

This would be the first app with a fun built-in incentive to get faster... which means to get a better walking workout!

The app deserves three stars without the bottom, 10 stars with a fully functioning smart bot (this does not require A.I. or anything, just some simple algorithms).

Anyway, I split the difference and gave it four stars. More than stars, I would happily give dollars to an app that made walking fun all by yourself.

And if the developer took it to the next level, with directionality and using the screen for a simple video game type scenario… Wow!

This deserves to be much more.
