I am not a designer nor an architect or anyone who needs to use these sorts of software due to their profession. I was just a person who was looking for an app that could help me restructure my room. My room is a mess right now and I have a ton of furniture that are inefficiently positioned so I needed to make a change but just didn’t know how. I know nothing about designing a floor plan but boy did this app make it extremely easy for me. I needed to know if each type of furniture would fit in the spots I wanted it in and juggle with the structure and the app just made it so much easier for me to get creative. My room isn’t exactly a square shape because it has certain structural bumps(?) in each corner but that was no problem creating in the app. One thing that didn’t affect me but I think is worth mentioning would be the price of the app. I only needed this once, because restrucuring my room/house isn’t a regular thing so I did fine with the free trial, but the price does seem a bit too overpriced. Again, I don’t know anything about designing or architecturing so I wouldn’t know how much these types of apps normally cost, but even if I did, I’d be hesitant to keep using it just because of the price. All in all, I got everything I needed and I’m very satisfied with my new room. Thanks!
Arcsite has increased my productivity exponentially
MStovall
After years of drawing via the office drafting table and Mutoh Drafting Machine, Arcsite has given me the freedom to create in the field so I am on the jobsite to direct my crews and still knock out the drawings that keep us working. Having the ability to draw scaled details while meeting with a client at the project or being able to text or email them immediately so decisions are expedited is alone worth the cost. This is an app I literally use daily, and can't imagine being without. I've read the critical reviews that for the most part whine about the cost. These are either posted by professionals too cheap to invest in quality tools or wannabes that don't really have a need for a CAD app. Here's the deal, if you are an Architect or Design/Builder that actually spends time on your jobsites you would greatly benefit from Arcsite. Try it yourself and you'll be sold.
Kinda Pricey...
ILoveMinecraft!
So I looked at all the other reviews and I thought that this would be a good app. I got the app and I was a bit disappointed. this app costs quite a bit of money to use. I understand that you need money to improve the app and for personal uses, but it is very expensive even for the lowest plan. I am giving you three stars because the app is pretty good, but some of us can’t get it because of the cost. Maybe you could make a graph of profits per price. The less the price the more people buy it. The higher the price the less people buy it but people will charge more. I’d say that with apps and games, a good price is the most affordable price. Affordable but profitable. If it costs too much you get bad reviews, plus it won’t become as popular because some people can’t get it. The lower the price the more people will get the app and cause it to become popular. It will also get you good reviews, too. I think that the best price would be free but with in-app purchases. This way people have a CHOICE to get features. It gets you money, good reviews, popularity, and more. This is probably the most beneficial way of improving your apps and games. I’m not saying I don’t like the app, I’m saying I think it could be improved.
Free trial was fantastic. Now I can’t use it.
RLeighA
Starts you off with a free trial, with is wonderful. The app itself I found very easy to use and overall I enjoyed it. I use apps like this for personal projects—designs to help me visualize a building that I’m describing and figure out how a layout would actually look. The app did get a bit difficult to use when creating larger or more complex spaces, and I didn’t enjoy how much of a pain it could be to create different floors (the layering is an absolute mess as of the last time I used it, and creating copies of an exterior wall to keep each floor contained within the building is much more difficult than it needs to be). All that aside, my biggest problem with the app is that once the trial runs out you CANNOT ACCESS ANYTHING. Most apps have a free tier that allows you to continue futzing with projects, though you no longer have access to premium content. This app doesn’t allow you to do anything with your projects unless you have a subscription. As someone who only uses apps like this for “fun”, that is an absolute killer. I really wish I could give a higher rating, but alas.
