ETA — most of what I initially said was inconsistent turned out to be user error on my part. (I didn’t understand that you could not use split modes throughout the entire house.) Bear that in mind when using! For example, we live in New England and quite often the temperatures can fluctuate quite a bit within one day, especially during certain seasons. So I’ll save you the trouble from digging through the instructions like I had to — ***You cannot use heat AND cooling at the same time in different zones.*** You’d have to shut off one and turn on the other. Aside from that, the system works great. I even find that the App gets us more accurate output over the remotes. Overall very happy with it. Just takes some getting used to / has a learning curve to operate to its full capabilities. When the app works, it’s great - but unfortunately I have to say that it is inconsistent at best. The times that the temperatures have either risen or dipped within my children’s rooms where I have wanted to modify the temperature settings in some way, the App seems to be glitchy or unavailable or showing the zones as in “standby” and I’m not able to override it or correct it except to physically go in the room and change it with the physical remote itself. Very frustrating, to say the least.

Connection Issues

I have been using the app for at least three years and it will occasionally lose the wifi connection and indicates one or more zones are offline. I can usually fix this simply by clicking on the zone or resetting the router. It’s not ideal, but fine and not necessarily unexpected with routers. More recently, the app has lost all connectively and gives me a no signal error. It also won’t identify or connect to any of my wireless channels even though previously connected. This is even after resetting the router multiple times and trying to connect to my 2.4 ghz channel and the other channels directly by typing in the network name and password. It just spins and does not connect.Each of my four zones are connected to Alexa and two continue to work only through Alexa, so something is connected even though the app says otherwise. It’s very frustrating since I like to check and adjust temps in each zone when I’m away.The system is way to expensive and WiFi connections are way too common to be experiencing problems like this, especially after a few years of use. I’m hesitant to delete the app and start over since it was incredibly hard to connect each unit to the app in the first place and I don’t want to lose the two WiFi connections I still have through Alexa.

We are the simplest of systems w/ one head and one zone. 3.07 can still not do the simplest of scheduling-setting a warmer daytime temp and then a lower nighttime temp. Our most recent attempt anytime we set one, the software immediately changed the second to the same temperature. Then attempting to update the night time it automatically reset the daytime to the same temp. All of this is being done on a single mode, Heat. We had hoped for the more advanced ability to do this while the mode is set to Auto. Thousands of us are still waiting on you. Very disappointed.3.07 comments: trying to set a very simple schedule, with two set points. One to warm in the morning, one to allow cooling in the early evening. Function doesn’t work. Whenever I change the temperature for one set point it changes it for the other. And vice versa. Would also suggest that after making new settings for a set point you have a confirm or save button there is none at this point.3.05 comments: Basic functions like the plus and minus signs to increase or decrease temperature did not work at all. Important but basic menu items were not found where the very minimal literature said they should be. In the important Mode setting (Heat, Cool, Auto, off) the heat option was not even visible. This app was not ready for a release and should be an embarrassment to a quality name like Mitsubishi.

Updating my review to say this is still as awful as my original review and I’m taking a star off because they seem to have been promising updates for quite some time but surely haven’t rolled any out. Continues to be the worst “smart” app. Often says nothing connected, once again today the app says following schedule but shows the wrong temp and the thermostat set temp doesn't match the app set temp… still can’t have different programs for heat or cool so had to delete and start from scratch going into summer and will have to do again going into fall. I am gonna see if my hvac company can swap the wifi stuff to be able to use a FUNCTIONAL app. Original review:I’ve used several thermostat apps over the years and I’ve never seen anything so bad. Can’t have a program for heat and a separate program for cool so have to delete program and start from scratch twice a year at least. Half the time (or more) it’ll say I have nothing setup/connected or it’ll show my zones offline (not wifi issues). Programs seem to be glitchy between app and thermostat (sometimes app will show the programmed temp and the one on the thermostat doesn’t match - also sometimes the zone doesn’t show the programmed temp that the program actually has set up) - overall …. Pretty awful compared to nest (which I didn’t even like) and way worse that the Honeywell app - should just partner with them for use of their app with the mitsu thermostats. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because at least I have an app I guess?

New Scheduling Experience - We’ve redesigned scheduling to make it easier for you to create, view, and manage your schedules across all zones in one place. The new experience offers a central scheduling page that is more intuitive and allows you to configure events for several zones within a single workflow. Opt in to the new experience by reviewing the banner message on the home screen. Once opted in, your existing schedules will migrate over into the new experience. Hold - You can override a zone’s schedule and maintain fixed settings without needing to disable or edit the schedule. Away Mode - Away allows you to quickly set your system to energy-saving settings when you're not home, with an easy return to normal operation when you're back. Any schedules in place will be paused while in Away. Choose to manually end the Away once you return home or choose to end the Away on a specific day and time. Improved Home Screen Navigation - We’ve streamlined the home screen layout and navigation to make key actions easier to find. Bug Fix - Fixed location transfer issue where old location card was still present and app reload was not working.
