What you’ll need A compatible Bluetooth Low Energy OBD-II adapter is required for vehicle diagnostics and is sold separately. Available data and functions vary by vehicle and adapter. Generating a diagnostic report requires an internet connection. MechaOBD is a diagnostic aid. Its reports identify possible causes and suggested next steps; they do not replace inspection or diagnosis by a qualified automotive professional. Bug fixes • Adapter names in the Bluetooth device list no longer switch to a string of numbers while you're choosing one. The recognizable name now stays put, including after you connect. Usability improvements • The first time you open this version, a short notice explains that MechaOBD needs a Bluetooth OBD-II adapter, with a link to adapters we've tested. • Recommended Adapters is now in Settings under About, so you can find a compatible adapter anytime.
