I love this show so much. I started watching it with my Dad and I would say, “okay Dad, we’d better get you to bed! He’d say, “sure, okay, but let’s watch just one more.” I’d be like,”DAD! Do you realize it’s two o’clock in the morning! No, wait! DAD it’s almost three!” He’d say, “ we can sleep in…” we’d lost my sweet Mother and his beloved sweetheart of more than 70 years just e few months before. On New Years Eve the unthinkable happened. My Dad got COVID. He passed away eleven days later. He wanted to be with my Mom! I wanted them both to remain with me. I will always treasure Dad’s and my time watching the shows created by Simon Cowel. It’s really like the good old fashioned talent shows your kids displayed their talents in and the tap and ballet routines; Mr. Smith playing his clarinet. (sort of) the church’s piano player Miss Flowers, “What? No, singing this year instead? (OH dear!) They never got old! These shows are already classics! This season is wonderful for me as my dear son-in-law sang, “True Colors.” I knew ahead of time that Sofia had cried. I wondered if there was something that touched a nerve that made Ben’s performance more personal. But then in that quiet moment before he began I was overwhelmed with my own emotions as I thought it was my precious daughter he was really singing to. I’ve watched it at least 100 times. As soon as I see his head tip down, I’mGone again. So many talented people! It truly is an amazing show. This season even more so! God bless each one who is a part of the production.

I have had this app downloaded on my phone for quite some time. However, I have never used it. I have Netflix, so I can watch The Office all I want. But I saw it on the NBC app, and played a couple of shows and noticed that all of them were just clips. I’m trying to figure out why I can watch some shows, but some shows are just three minute clips, and you can even choose all of the seasons and all of the shows in that season… So why the clips?It seems Saturday Night Live is the same way. Why can I not watch the entire shows? I gave the app five stars because it is very well developed I think. I have signed in correctly with Dish Network and I have also signed in with my profile, so that is not a problem. But I’m not going to deduct a star from the app because it may be something that I am not doing right. I will check with support and see if it is something I’m doing and can fix.Otherwise it is a great app. I have an iPhone 8 Plus, and nothing ever crashes on me. I hear other people, not necessarily for this app, talk about things crashing. I’ve never had anything crash on me, not even on my 6S plus.If you have a cable subscription, take advantage of many of these applications that you can sign in with and watch tons of shows, especially past seasons that you may have missed or else would like to watch again.If anyone knows why Saturday Night Live and The Office are just showing three minute clips please let me know. I will update this if I find an answer.

I love that NBC offers this app. I use it often. I’m not deleting it, and I’m still going to use it. I want some persistent bugs fixed before giving it a 5-star rating. (1) Volume control—the program comes on and I have to turn the volume up; a commercial comes on and I have to turn the volume down. I stream tv content through ~5 other apps and one other behaves similarly but not as egregious as this one in the volume category. The rest don’t have this problem. I would/hope think it’s an easy fix.(2) The frames sometimes freeze and skip over content. I resolve it by restarting my streaming device. None of my other streaming apps do this. It doesn’t happen frequently but is annoying because of the third issue. (3) I favorite my frequently watched shows, but does that do anything? They are still a pain to find. Honestly, it’s fun to stumble upon another show that I want to (and can!) stream, but I shouldn’t have to scroll down to, e.g., “Because you watched Jimmy Fallon, we recommend Meet the Press” to get to the latest Meet the Press episode. (That’s a real example. I am left feeling puzzled by that algorithm but whatev, I do watch both.) Or, more frequently, I use the search option to search for the show (which works fine, thankfully). I recommend adding a “Favorites” option along with the other channel options at the top of the Home section. Or something along that line. I’m not an app designer, but know if using an app requires unexpected work on my end, there’s room for improvement.

The only reason I’m giving this app 2 stars is because I haven’t thoroughly looked through it yet.. and if anything I’m a fair person. Yesterday afternoon I went to open my SNL app only to find it was no longer available, the message was to go and download the NBC app instead... and my first thought is why did you have to mess up a good thing??? I was sooo impressed with whoever put the SNL app together, they thought of everything! I grew up watching the original SNL players and all I had to do is enter a name like Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase or John Belushi.. etc. You could also look up guests or hosts as well.. from as far back as the original players up until the current SNL shows today. Why did you have to get rid of a good thing??? The second I opened the NBC app there was a glitch already with an error message... and is it my understanding that I have to enter some password from my TV provider and or earn credits? This is BS and I’m very disappointed! I can tell you right now that it’s most like I will be deleting this app very soon. What was the harm in leaving the SNL app alone to be enjoyed by people like me? Everyone in my family loved it too. You ruined a good thing as far as I’m concerned and instead of giving people a choice to download the NBC app because it was there before, you take away a good thing and I was forced to download it to see my SNL material where the format is not the same. I hate it! I’m sure I’m writing my own personal rant right now, I doubt anyone will read this. It’s all about money.
