I’ve been an avid paid subscriber for years and being a World music lover I truly appreciate your curation and being able to discover interesting tracks around the globe. My biggest gripe is that I use this as my main music app at my business and it’s unfortunately unreliable. The music stops playing for very long periods of time and I have to quit and Re-open the app and it’s frustrating to have clients sit in silence while I try to fix the bug. A note to developers: I enjoy saving my fave tracks and would love to be able to create my own playlists so I can separate the genres and arrange the order of the tracks. I hope in the future we can also search for songs at the bare minimum within our own saved files. Aside from those requested improvements I have to say that I am happy you don’t accept everyone’s uploads. As a DJ myself I appreciate you guys hand picking tracks as I believe in your taste and trust the selection you’ve spent time acquiring. Thank you for keeping your standards. Rinse and repeat. Much thanks!

I can totally understand the need to earn money for your work. The thing is, the limited amount of samples a user can access without paying a monthly fee is a modest but good repository to explore. However, due to wanting everyone to pay a subscription fee, this app’s updates keep making it more and more annoying in order to coerce a subscription. Maybe I’m a different sort, but the way a developer will earn my subscription is by demonstrating the appeal of it through the limited free service offered. This app used to be entirely free, then a paid upgrade was added, then the subscription model was added, and along the way, what you got for free was further restricted. But even all of that was not a deal-breaker for me, as far as consideration. But the latest update has the subscription “BEG” window come up again and again and again, literally every time I make a choice, selection, country, style, decade, etc. every time I tap any of the specifics in order to narrow the choices, it comes up. This is not demonstrating the appeal, but rather demonstrating that they will resort to just plain nuisance in order to entice me. And that’s just not going to happen. Sorry, but if you’re the type to resort to that, then I would expect additional obnoxious behavior down the line, and so you’ve accomplished only to DETER me. I wish you would maybe augment the revenue with unobtrusive ad banners on the screen. Seems that style is becoming a thing of the past; being non-intrusive is just so much old-school, and not sufficiently aggravating. Never going to get a dime from me with that kind of approach.

I love this app. As far as the positives, this is an app by music lovers and not one by AI. Another reviewer was appalled that certain songs from countries are unknown by his friends from those countries. This app is not about popular songs. Yes you will come across The Bee Gees but you will NOT get Saturday Night Fever and thank god. Instead you’ll get earlier Beatles influenced stuff. (I like funk—got to discover funk or funk influences across the globe.) This is not hipster music. Does it have its unique taste sensibilities? Yes. Is it audiophile friendly? Yes. Is it for you? Maybe not. I could take off two stars for execution. I pay subscription because I like the music and want to support, but I don’t get anything out of subscription so not sure I’ll continue doing so regularly. The main advantage is access to song history, BUT you don’t have this unless on a browser. AND it doesn’t capture the history you’ve had on your phone which is where most people listen to music. The old map will be nice to have as an option

New Update: I do not like the new map, it’s too tedious and requires lots of swiping as opposed to the old where one flick and I can go from North America to Russia. Additionally, the crossfade set to zero does not work. It still crossfades. 5 stars if these issues are corrected. Old update: I am liking the new update after having subscribed to the app for the past few months, but I do think the old map is a little easier to work with in some scenarios. The new rotational map benefits from more countries displayed but at the expense of speed. The old map is faster for cruising around and finding islands and easter eggs. Also, the old map fit the Radioooo brand better, imo. The rotational map could benefit from making it look more hand drawn. Also, I think the app will benefit from allowing us to select which map we want via the settings. Otherwise, with this new rotational map since it doesn’t feel as fun to use (more technical), I can’t help but think might as well bypass it entirely and provide a country list.

Bug fixes and improvements: • Fixed crossfade transitions — no more silence gaps or early cutoffs • Pressing next now triggers an immediate smooth crossfade • Islands now properly transition when all tracks have been played • Fixed islands repeating the same tracks • Fixed a crash when rapidly pressing next • Fixed playlist track skipping • Improved playback reliability
