Wakeouts are movements that make you feel amazing. They're fun, brief, and can be done just about anywhere, anytime. That's why thousands of people stay active with Wakeout every day.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that moving often is proven to reduce stress, make you feel more energized, and enhance your mood.

Whether you're on the couch watching a series, working at your home office desk, or in bed, there's a Wakeout routine at the ready designed to break the sedentary pattern.

Wakeout has over 1,000 exercises and hundreds of routines designed in a variety of places over 2 years. But it's the routine design and delivery that's the magic:
- Quick Breaks are 1-minute, 4-movement routines that you start with a tap.
- Active Work Timer allows you to schedule recurrent active breaks to have a healthier workday.
- Wakeout for Apple Watch lets you squeeze in 30-second Wakeouts right on your wrist.
- The new iOS 14 widget lets you start 1-minute quick breaks right from your Home Screen.
- Schedule up to 4 reminders to make sure you don't stay sedentary for too long.

You can also browse the massive library of location-specific movements and filter by mood (energizing, relaxing, intense, or fun), and by length (1 movement, 3 or 5).

Love the exercises, not the app

The exercises are fun, timely, and appropriate. I haven’t seen any other apps that offer simple “in the moment” exercises geared to the environment I’m usually in - whether it’s getting out of bed or sitting on a couch or in a coffee shop.
That being said, the container for these fun exercises is enraging. The UX is truly terrible. Want to change notifications time? Sure! Here you go. We’ll ignore your changes of course, but so what? We know what’s best for you. The music would be good except for the fact that it uses short loops that don’t transition well into each other - very abrupt. Payment? Sure, we promised a 7 day trial period...but unless you sign up for a subscription, good luck with that - the lifetime license I bought was charged immediately (I don’t think there’s any other way to do it, but the developer must make it clear). I don’t think there’s a free trial, nor does my iPhone and iPad sync. Restore purchases? Bwahahaha! Surely you jest.
Bottom line: fantastic app brought lower by a dozen paper cuts. And yeah that bilious green color is revolting.

Well, this review both informed us and gave us a chuckle! There's still so much work here and we agree, there's a lot that's not there yet. That said, I'm happy to tell you we're about to release an update before christmas that addresses a few of your concerns. Oh, and yea, we're not that crazy about the green anymore. Lot's to do! Would love to get your take further if you'd be cool with that by emailing us at:

Movement helps wake me up

Nice idea. You get 18 exercises in the free version.

PROS: The upbeat music and movement helps wake me up in the morning. The very short, simple exercises keep me motivated (but keep in mind that I'm not an "exercise person").

CONS: The alarm turns itself off after a minute and it's only as loud as your device will allow. I'd recommend using an alarm clock as back-up. The app chooses exercises randomly and sometimes chooses the same exercise repeatedly so instead of three different exercises you only get one.

MONEY GRAB: I like this app and would be willing to purchase a "full version" for a nominal price ($5 or less). Unfortunately, the full version is by subscription. They want you to pay $2 per month or $15 per year for the full version ...and subscriptions auto-renew so you keep paying. As a "non-exercise person" this seems excessive. Although the subscription fee might be acceptable for people who exercise every day, I don't think the short exercises will appeal to them. The app developer is misjudging their market by offering the pro-version by subscription.

Still loving it!

This is the oldest app on my phone. (Even older than facebook) I finally got it to go through on my iPad which make some things so much easier to do some exercises. Over the changes there have been some great changes and not so great. I love the current version. I have a love hate thing for the music but without it I wouldn’t be as happy when I get down. I love the notifications that pop up. I even got the ipad and iPhone set up to go off at different times of the day which is awesome. I did have a free trial and other offers but I was waiting and saving for the lifetime membership. As so those out there that want a free trail don’t sign up for a life time. Life time usually means you’ve already tested it out and really like it. So if your testing this out go with something small until you know for sure that it’s something you’ll love. I love wakeout and their staff. Friendly, supportive and a great app. At least this is my personal opinion.

Serving people like you gives us immense joy. Being active has brought so much wellness to our lives, and being able to inspire others to take part gives us so much happiness. We're inspired every day by what people are telling us. It's been a wild ride, with lots of updates and changes. And although not all of them great, I'm glad to hear that you've stuck with us as we figure out the best way to help people be more active. Thank you so much!
