I have love this for my daughter. She enjoys doing the levels and extra areas of the “game”. The only thing I find frustrating (and therefore not 5/5 stars) is the repetitive instructions and/or background music which cannot be turned off while my daughter is trying to work out the answer. So we are constantly turning the volume up and down. Just have a built in setting option to turn background music off and have a button within the activity to repeat verbal instructions instead of automatically repeating it every 10 or so seconds (not all activities do this, but the ones that do are extremely distracting and annoying). That way the kids can focus on working out the answer if they don’t know it straight away.

It’s good but does some unnecessarily complex leaps

Lessons 1 and 2 are great. But lesson 3 does not introduce ’a’ before using it, introduces ‘i’ before its sound is introduced, does letter blending amongst that unnecessary beforementioned confusion and does full word differentiation and recognition in the same first half of the lesson. Why? Just split lesson 3 into into 4 short lessons with proper explanations or just structuring it much better. Lesson 1 and 2 are both thoughtfully crafted around learning science. Lesson 3 and its ilk are confusing and unnecessarily big leaps. It also does not matter ho much explanation you do with kids sitting next to them, because the task demanded is such a big series of stacked leaps that it is daunting. The evil of this laziness on the part of the educator is that it can turn kids off continuing as its too hard.[update lessons 4 to 10 are mostly great. 5 introduces “at” before introducing “a” which again is out of order but not like lesson 3. It is like asking you to read あt. You can hear it if i say it aloud but you have no idea what the first character is or what sound it makes by itself or why all of a sudden these two sounds (one entirely unknown) have been pushed together or how. This and some other unexplained jumps exist in lessons 4 to 10 but nothing like the random series of them in lesson 3 and as a parent you can mostly do the unexplained jump activity in lessons 4 to 10 yourself and explain it and then let them do it after. That is impossible in lesson 3 as the number of leaps are exponential. You can do lesson 3 and 5 after 9 when “A” is introduced.]

This has made me learn the best way ever. At school I was super smart in my first year. Now I am nine in grade three one of the smartest people in my class ,when some of my peers have trouble reading service! I would recommend to get this app. It has so many different learning strategies and fun games. I would say you should download this app for your child when he or she is about… three. It has lessons you can do until your 13 so best to download when your younger. I forgot to say you can have a test if you have been slack and get back onto your level. Also it depends on your age group from what you are doing, there’s math, reading, phonics,and a real cute junior one that you can do, it is super fun for the little ones. Anyway please get this app and your child will be as smart as heck in no time.From froggie999
Just taught our 2 1/2 year old daughter to read

This app is the one you want !!! If you wanna teach your child to read. Our daughter can now read very basic books due to this program. It’s one hell of a grind, but our daughter is 2 1/2. So a 4 or 5 year old would smash it out a lot faster, but seeing a 2 1/2 year old read is mind blowing. Hey Dev, just one thing that I would like to add is the off shoots of your program make it a bit busy, less is more !!! If you have too many distractions from the main program, kids will gravitate towards that and we have what is called ‘Opportunity Cost’. Your program is great, it works, our 2 1/2 year old daughter is proof of that ! And I think you gotta find ways for these off shoots to come back to the main program.
