Needs an overhaul
Visa Load&Go was king... then they killed it. Never had an issue with it and app had it all. Now this MasterCard that replaces it was like bearing my soul to obtain, as I needed to show my drivers license and others plus questions a plenty... once I added funds I could use immediately. I did and then it somehow got suspended just by using as I did with the visa. I had to ring MasterCard and I must admit they were quick to re-enact it and been fine ever since. The app works but is annoying with the “pending” when used to pay anything, so the total amount takes 24-48hrs to reflect the actual amount . It need an option to temporarily block the card as visa app did so if ever it got lost or some rouge website takes advantage of subscription cancellations. And another gripe is why do I need to provide my identity when I’m depositing funds at an Australia post outlet!? It’s a debit card after all!!! Cheers all. UPDATE: It has finally seen some major changes and improved a whole lot.. I give it top Marks from my last review.. awesome 👏🏻
Best way to pay online and limit fraud
I really like this card. I can pay and subscribe to sites online without giving access to my bank accounts directly. The worst that could happen is the limited funds I place on this card could be drained by a scammer.
In the past I have given my bank linked credit cards to fraudulent sites and my only redress was to physically cancel the card and get a new one issued with a different number. That also required me to amend all my direct debit agreements.
It has been made even easier to use now that I can add funds directly through the app rather than having to to it separately through the auspost website.
Review of card
Great for my young teenage son to have his own card to use at canteen at school and while out with friends I can add money instantly and he can only spend what’s on the card and no more
I can see all his purchases and adjust his budget accordingly he can also pay for his PlayStation games off the card with my permission, and not have to use my credit card ,
Super happy with this card it has served my son well the last 2 years I highly recommend it
