Australian Retirement Trust 4+

I had a pretty poor experience with CBA Super Financial planning and fund managers. My super going nowhere for approximately six years, and with some difficulty I transferred my funds (CBA were not helpful, to say the least) Sunsuper has provided excellent returns for the last eight years and helped recoup approximately $100,000 lost by CBA Super funds poor performance. I transferred approx $80k from a non performer which turned into $345k in under 7 years (some small salary sacrifice and employer contributions only, this included a substantial income insurance, DC, TPD cover contributions as well) well done and thank you Sunsuper!

When I tried to sign on with my pin it needed to confirm my login but wouldn’t accept my existing password, and there was no ‘forgot password’ option and no way off that page. The only way to keep using it was to delete the app from my device and reload it from the cloud, which I did and it let me in then, with a request to check my details. I had updated all my details recently but my old landline was still there. I tried 3 times to put the new number in and pressed save but it didn’t happen. I had to press Looks Correct even thought it’s not because there was no other way off that page. I wanted to change my password so went to My Membership Details and couldn’t get off it. No Back or X or visible way off so I can’t log off now either. I’ve closed the app with the Home button because it’s taken too much time out of my day already and Membership Details is probably as far as I’ll ever get. Sigh.

I’ve had the absolute worst experience dealing with Australian Retirement Trust. I was unfortunate enough to speak with Thomas, who was completely unhelpful and seemed utterly indifferent to my situation. He provided no solutions, no explanations, and barely seemed to care. It’s disgraceful how a company trusted with people’s money can treat its clients with such blatant disrespect and incompetence.
I’ve been trying to get my money back for what feels like an eternity, but Australian Retirement Trust keeps dragging their feet, offering excuse after excuse. Their customer service is non-existent, and it’s clear they have no interest in actually helping their clients.
This company is a complete joke. They are more than happy to hold onto your money with no accountability or responsibility. If you value your hard-earned cash and want it to be in safe hands, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Australian Retirement Trust. Absolute disgrace.
