Description

Did you know Queenslanders go through 2.7 billion drink containers each year? We’ve created a way to recycle those containers which means change for Queensland and your pocket. This app is a handy companion to help you cash in and recycle your eligible containers at Containers for Change refund points. It’s packed with features to make recycling through the scheme easier.

Check container eligibility
Use the barcode scanner to check whether a container is eligible for a 10 cent refund through the scheme. The app also has a quick reference guide on the types of containers that are eligible for a refund.

Track your refund history
Keep track of your recycling progress with updates on your returned containers, total refunds and transaction history. You can also check how Queensland is doing overall.

Access your scheme ID
Quickly access your scheme ID quickly and easily when you arrive at a container refund point. The barcode can be scanned at refund points with a scanner.

Save your favourite charity or community group
Donating your next refund? Search the list of registered charities and community groups and save their details to your scheme ID board.

Search for your nearest refund point
Search for your nearest refund point location and see what type of return options are available. You’ll find key information you need like address and opening hours, you can even get directions straight there.

Games and Resources
Test your recycling skills by playing Recycle Race and try to top the leaderboard. Or, use our interactive Recyculator tool to calculate the value of your containers based on your weekly usage.

Dropped bags and was advised to enter my scheme ID onto bags seeing their scanner wasn’t working at drop off point. No acknowledgement that they received bottles I deposited, emailed them and 3 weeks later still no response from my email apart from the initial reply saying they would be in touch. Has been approximately 2 months since I deposited bottles and now have a heap more which I’m reluctant to drop off if they’re not going to reward or respond.

Why do you need my back account details

Why do you need my back account details? I want my payment preference to be PayPal. So I logged into PayPal from the account setup screen and it has added a link to CfC but your account setup page won’t let me change my preference to PayPal. Fix the set up screen so that the radio buttons actually work ie bank account OR PayPal, I want to use PayPal only.

No one gets my bank account details. You don’t need them. Just put the money into PayPal for me. You need to fix the app properly. I’ve read the reviews before mine and it sounded like you’d fixed all the problems. You need to employ a company that knows how to program and TEST an app before releasing it to the public. If you can’t get that right how can I trust you with my bank account details? When it’s fixed let me know and I can create my account.

Rubbish app - no pun intended

Registration process is clumsy and lacks clear instructions.
Don’t like that to complete the awkward registration one has to supply bank account details even when PayPal is selected as the preferred option.
MyTOMRA app was so easy to use. Why has it been ditched in Queensland??!
Here’s hoping the app works at the RVM centre near me where MyTOMRA was faultless. If not, I won’t bother with it. There’s no Woolworths supermarket convenient to my home so vouchers are inconvenient. Alternative is to put bottles in the recycling bin which completely defeats the purpose of the scheme. If we are to be encouraged to return our bottles, the payment process has to be easy. C for C app is not.
