Qld Rego Check is the free and official Queensland Government (Department of Transport and Main Roads) mobile app that lets you check the registration status of cars, trucks, vessels, trailers and motorcycles. Simply enter the Queensland registration number or vehicle identification number (VIN) to see the registration status and other unique details about the vehicle (e.g. description, purpose of use, and registration / certificate of inspection expiry date). By searching the registration, you can make sure the registration is current prior to use.

Great APP needs to include stolen vehicles

This is a great APP, I set reminders for my personal vehicles and stay on stop of my vehicle Registrations. Also helps with my fleet data and so I can identify make model and VIN’s of the vehicles I manage at work.One great improvement and really needed, is the ability to identify vehicles reported Stolen. The QPS can’t do this alone & there are times where stolen vehicles are scouring the streets to break into houses, with the only information available from Face Book groups. This would benefit the community greatly by being able to identify stolen cars and the community members could report immediately to Police, via a phone number provided in that part of the app.You want to win the battle of youth crime, this is a joint effort, between Community, State Govt and the frontline policing services.

Although this is a handy app to check if your car is registered, it would be fantastic to have an extension where people could see if the plates have been reported stolen, or the car has been reported stolen. Imagine the amount of crime that police could be helped solve, with stolen cars that have been dumped or being driven shortly after being stolen.

Works great but make sure you update

FYI the searches only work if you are on the latest version. If an update comes out searches fail immediately and there is no notification that the reason no results were found is because you are not on the latest version. Developer FYI you should make a pop-up saying the user needs to update before the app will work.

This app is very handy for making sure vehicles are registered. I did have some issues when the app would come back “no results found” but that was my mistake. I had mobile data turned off. TMR were very helpful with my concerns and we finally got to the bottom of the problem. Oops. Highly recommend this app.
