Since the last update the definitions do not stay in place. When I click on a cell the definition looks to be what is required but as soon as data is entered the definition disappears. For example a cell (or field) is set to centre the data as soon as data is entered the data is right justified. This is very frustrating, I hope you can do a fix to get back to where we were before. Thank you.
Great tool. Still someway to go.

Only been using it a week but it has been very easy to learn and use. Does some things very well, better than Excel. n particular Google Finance functions - though I would like to see these extended (at least recent dividend history in order to calculate yield). That said, I was previously using Yahoo’s alternative (till they closed it down a month ago) with Excel. Basically, did the same things maybe a bit better. I am very happy with ability to use across devices. Much more intuitive older style Excel where one is still finding and loading (later saving) files. Easy also to share with others in different ways. Then again it can’t do basic things I use a lot like bullets and numbering. Backing up off-line seems contra to the cloud-based design but is something that Is needed. I do love the versioning feature but I feel it is not enough. Downloading into Excel format seems to produce a mess. I invest many hours/days perfecting my spreadsheet tools. I like to be able to ensure I am in control of the backup of thus IP. I don’t want to risk its complete loss to some virus or hacker. A related issue arose today. I prepared a Google Sheet (to illustrate a financial matter) for a corporate based person and sent them the link to the sheet by email. They could not access it due to their corporate IT policies. They could only accept email attachments. So I had to redo my work in Excel anyway. These “legacy” situations (which are increasingly common responses designed to protect security and block staff from any but corporate approved sites) make such a pure cloud-based offering unusable in such situations. Overall a great tool for personal use and some business uses. More work in meeting and exceeding its main competitor(s) needs doing.
Enter key ☹️❤️🩹💔

**Improving the Enter Key Behavior in Google Sheets (Mobile/Web)**Dear google! In Google Sheets, pressing the Enter key moves the cursor to the next cell instead of creating a new line within the same cell. For those of us who frequently need multi-line text inside one cell, this behavior is frustrating and unnecessarily disruptive.**My first and strongest suggestion:**Remove this behavior entirely — let Enter create a line break within the same cell, as naturally expected. Moving to another cell could instead be handled by a tap, or by an extra dedicated button in the shortcut toolbar. If you disagree with changing this entirely, then at the very least, please provide a clearly visible, easily accessible “Line Break” button right on the main toolbar — ideally the **first** shortcut button, not buried at the end where it requires scrolling. The ability to start a new line within the same cell is not a luxury. It’s a daily necessity for anyone entering multi-line data or explanations.
Formatting features missing from app version

I find the Sheets app really useful but some formatting features are missing from the app version I use on my iPad Pro. For example, you can't change the page orientation from portrait to landscape. Online help suggests you can by clicking on the three dots icon in the top right-hand side and selecting the Page Setup menu. There is no Page Setup menu! It is very frustrating not being able to do something so simple. If, in fact, there is a way to change it in the app, it certainly is not obvious how. In general, the app version of Sheets is not very user friendly
