Google is just one of the many apps and utilities people use every single day! Including whoever is reading this! Google is one of he worlds most used and best thing and is used for everything, from searching fruits and veggies, how to build muscle and what should i eat for dinner today! Yes, google even gives delicious ideas and recipes for a Thursday night family dinner! Google is honestly life changing for me and all my friends and even the whole world. Google has unlimited answers to unlimited questions. And guess what? I typed all this while waiting for google to download! Thx for reading my opinion☺️

ive been using the google app since 2017, great app, ive watched it go through many updates. but the past two years it has gotten frustratingly worse. mainly its speed overall. sometimes articles just wont load at all, often my searches wont go through until i close and reopen the app, annoying. its come to a point where i really only use this app for quick short questions that dont require opening a link, or to find a web page then reopen it in safari, because the browser in the app is just far too slow and buggy. it wont save half the pages i’ve previously gone to in my history. the only reason i stay on this app is for the personalised web articles which i really enjoy and is personalised very well. if they took away the list of articles on the home page i would leave in a heartbeat, its really the only good feature of the app. oh and along with googling pictures without it being a full hassle, very handy! if the speed problems get fixed i would definitely go back to using this full time and abandoning safari, but at this rate it seems ill be stuck with a bit of both because this app just has not gotten any better over the past two years. maybe its just because its on my iphone XR, but due to other apps running smoothly, im leaning towards that is not the answer.Wow, a lovely automated response, with a link not even relevant to what im saying. taking away another star.

Too big but not too much better

Google was and still is a search engine. It used to be good for finding simple information but now relies only on algorithms that focus on the “advertiser” and not the user experience - remember: Google is still a “search engine” by definition and not an advertising platform. The user experience ‘searching for something’ has turned out to be nothing but a frustrating event as I’ve now become a victim of the sales and marketing department of the multinationals. All I was looking for was an old book printed in 1958. That’s it. I don’t want to read the latest novel nor do I care what other stories that author might have written. I’m not interested in what the algorithm thinks I need to buy. All I want is some old information about the past - this is not Google’s opportunity to need to sell me something now or in the future. Google have turned “searching for something” into something terrible and frustrating. Not happy.
Ai is killing everything that was good about google.

As an everyday person I have used google hourly since it's existance. The Ai changes / takeover have made it completely unusable and I don't trust the responses. At all. I've tested it with things I already know the answer to and it is so phenomenally incorrect it is laughable. Why would anything thing we wanted this. It's removed the joy of searching for something and scrolling through all the various resources. Next I look at it from the perspective of a hobbyist website builder & administrator. For over 20 years my sites have appeared on the first page of search results no matter what type of key words a searcher has entered. Now they either appear 10 pages down, or not at all. You are destroying my decades of research and hard work. Yet you are happy to scrape entire paragraphs from my work. You are thieves. It's just plain evil. Honestly I hope you all lose your jobs to a bot. Why on earth would you destroy a product that did one thing so well. It makes me want to delete my enormous websites completely and just put it all in a self published book that you can't touch or steal from. It is just so demoralising and evil. For the love of all things WWW separate it into two platforms. Traditional Google search, and Ai search for people with the attention spans of a gnat who care little for factual results.
