Great app, great service!

I’ve tried a few of these types of apps in the past with little success (technical issues, no doctors available etc) and I’d pretty much given up on the whole concept - until I came across this one. User friendly, easy to create an account and fast! Within 5 minutes I had setup my account and had a doctor on the screen. The doctor was great, I was only after a prescription but he still took the time to ask me about my health in general. Minutes later I had my prescription sent to my phone and I was good to go. Super convenient and beats having to find a suitable doctor’s appointment, make the trek to the surgery and be sitting around in a waiting room for extended periods of time waiting for your turn. I’ll use this app in future for any occasion where I don’t have to be physically examined or seen by a doctor. Great for referrals, scripts and general consults. Really love this app and I recommend it to everyone!

Vital service let down by poor app

Really appreciative that this service exists. So helpful to be able to do a video consult with a doctor late at night rather than taking my child to the hospital and waiting 4 hours. The app itself is simple enough to use and has sufficient functionality. However the performance is very bad. I waited in the queue three times and received an error and had to start again. When I finally got connected to a doctor, I was so fearful my connection would drop out. Thankfully it didn’t. However after the call finished, the app did freeze. I wasn’t able to leave feedback for my doctor (5 stars if I could) and there is no way to update this afterwards. It would also be helpful to see what position you are in the queue. When I was in the queue, the app just kept flashing up ‘average wait time 5 minutes’. Each time I waited more than 20 minutes before being connected. I would prefer to know how many people are ahead of me and to see that number decrease as I get closer to seeing a doctor.Also, it would be helpful to reverse the camera so I can show the doctor something and see if the camera is picking it up correctly. Hopefully there’s continued improvement in the app because it’s an important service.

Consult was very helpful for a Saturday morning app for a child in pain with nowhere to go. Thank goodness for this service - it allowed us access to healthcare where we were turned away at other booked out centres. The app needs some work and there are some false claims that should be addressed.I downloaded the app as it claimed less than 15minute wait and no booking necessary. After putting all my info in it said 45min wait and then told me the queue was full and to try again later. Not sure where else to go I kept hitting refresh until I finally got in the queue. A 5minute timer flashed for about 20mins and I kept getting error messages saying something went wrong. I nearly cancelled out but thankfully I didn’t because we were eventually seen. Not as concerned about waiting as I was about not being sure I was actually in the queue or not. Fee was exceptional- $35. I was very happy. Please fix the couple of bugs as this service is soo much better than other out of hours services. Even dial a doctor won’t send a doc to our area anymore as we are on the outskirts of town. THANK YOU FOR THIS SERVICE!

I was recommended this app when I was on holidays and got sick. I am so grateful I was told about InstantConsult, what a great service! I really don’t know what I’d do without them now. It is so hard to get into see doctors these days and these guys are so handy and I haven’t come across a bad doctor yet. They are helpful and friendly. One of the reasons I have use them is if I am in need of a repeat prescription when I didn’t realise I was running out of my medication and it is as simple as getting online and organising another one with the doctor. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes and the bonus is that if 15 minutes is too long for you to wait you can just try again another time -usually I only have to wait five minutes. I have recommended InstantConsult to a lot of my friends and they in-turn have used the service and I highly recommend InstantConsult to anyone out there!!!!
