New app has a downside

The new Illawarra Mercury app opens the newspaper as a double page spread in my device. This is unreadable on my device, as the print is too small. When I try to zoom in to increase the page size, I often find I’m directed to one particular story - when I want the whole page. After I am funnelled to one story, I cannot find my place back to the page I was on. All in all the new app is annoying ..

Developer Response ,

Hi Subscriber,

The new App is more refined for viewing and content access.

To zoom in, using your thumb and index finger you can stretch out to zoom on the article and pinch motion to minimize again.

The single tap is a new layout option and you can revert back to the paper view with a tap on the icon on the bottom right.

Please contact the support team on 1300 131 095 Option 2 if you are still have concerns with the new App

Hard to manage

Hello. I have just had to spend an hour working out why my app has not been working. It is not an easy process. There needs to be a helpline on phone to and a person on other end to guide seniors through the updates ect. This needs to happen and be a tech expert . Please set this up.
Thanks Tom. Ps my daughter has helped me.

Developer Response ,

Good Newspaper to Wrap Hot Fish n Chips or Household Trash

Not happy with our Illawarra Mercury. Full of furniture and electrical product advertisements, letters to the editor are from the same contributors day after day expressing hate or political bias, Green ideology usually lacking scientific facts or the truth, news articles that are not newsworthy. I was very generous giving a one star rating.
