A Lifesaver!

I took my girls out to the mountains today just for a drive because it was a lovely sunny day. Well I passed several petrol stations and even though I was low I thought I'd be okay, well, you know what thought did don't you sigh.. We picnicked then began heading home. I had stupidly decided to take a detour when looking for a nice place to picnic and then saw the light flashing on fuel. 🚨I had to get some fast! If I didn't have this app I surely would had been stranded so from my kids and I thank you🙏🙌 you may had saved our lives!! Why? Because not only being stranded with little fuel but driving in a panic 300mtrs up where I was going to drive, thinking it was a way out, was a cliff face, the app showed me I had to turn a different direction. I shudder to think what today may had turned out like. 😳Whoddathunk an app would save our lives!God bless technology ~ Karen🌹

It sounded like a great day and we are happy to know that the app was helpful with directions as well as showing you the nearest petrol station. I use the app to maintain my insurance policies, I’ve never had to use it for breakdowns and insurance claims. Whenever I pay for my insurance thru the app via PayPal it takes takes the payment and then pops up with “oops something went wrong”, leaving me to wonder if my policy has been renewed. Still two weeks later the app states my payment is still due even though PayPal has processed the payment. I’ve contacted support and they assure me the policy has been renewed. I didn’t receive any payment receipt, and had to request thru support again for a copy. Their website is no better, when I log in it rejects my password, I have to reset it, when I switch back to the app it then rejects my new password and I have to reset it again, worst still when I request to send the reset link to my mobile nothing comes through at all. I have sent NRMA a 7 point list of issues thru there complaint link, the only response I got back is that I should raise my complaints to the parent company, where’s the ownership for handling complaints? I would rather bypass all their IT applications and phone the company direct, only I’ll have to wait for well over 30 minutes for an operator to answer.

Just adds another level of frustration to working online.Those glowing reviews for this app refer mainly to the excellent roadside service, which is available via a phone call talking to a nice friendly competent person. Full marks to them but no credit to this app, or to the NRMA’s other useless it options. I have been trying to register my OPAL card. No where on any web page was it explained how to do this, was this advertised on the app. A phone call to roadside assistance pointed that anonymous decal lead to the place to register. But before I can do this I have to register with NRMA despite the fact that the app knows who I am as does the NRMA. How else does roadside assistance know who I am? Then I register and am sent an email with a click on to activate my registration. But this link does not work: “the site you are looking for does not exist or is unavailable,”. I forget which. There is also another link to follow if I the activate account link does not work, but new link this does not work either. And here I am again wasting time, mental energy and damaging my peace of mind dealing with something that was once done easily face to face with a real intelligent and competent person, taking pleasure in helping their organisations clients.

It sounds as though there may be an issue with the email activation and if you've already registered your email address ( which is need to access your Membership online and link your account). I tried to get in touch with Customer Service in regards to a Scam email I received, supposedly from NRMA, I wanted to know if if you were aware of it or not. I rang the “so called General Enquires” number & went through the Menu’s twice, however there was no Customer Service or General Enquiries option to choose from. I ended up pressing the AGM option to actually talk to a person, they ended up putting me through to the Roadside Assistance Team, which actually took my call. NRMA was supposed to be about support & customer service, however it is getting more & more difficult to talk to someone. I didn’t was roadside or insurance, I was trying to help with information about a possible scam, however it turned out to be a very frustrating experience. Please go back to actually having proper customer service for your customers.Kind Regards Brian ParkA frustrated member of 45 years.
