So far, so good

Downloaded this today and so far quite happy. Have finished cataloguing all my books; next onto CDs, DVDs and vinyl. It’s surprising which books are in the database and which aren’t, though -some small publishers I expected to have to add manually it found, while other common ones it couldn’t.
Can I suggest for future updates that the ability to catalogue board games is added? I have to have a seperate app for them, while this holds all my other media. Then it’d be perfect!

So much promise, but a little stagnant/limited

I've had Libib for years, and quite like it. The UI is really nice, the ability to catalogue using collections is useful, you can import/add a variety of ways, and Irene’s added from the search function can be edited (which is very handy).

However, it is also a little limited with a basic function seemingly absent. The service advertises the ability to have ‘mixed media’ collections, but in reality this is simply a limited selection of broad categories, identifying an item as either a book, movie, music, or video game. It would be much better to be able to have a format field in each item record. For example, books would have paper back, hardback, ebook, audio book, magazine/periodical, etc; music would have vinyl, CD, cassette etc.

Users lose basic features when accessing via iOS, like the ability to view cover pages in list (that becomes a pro feature) and as an item from the Libib database. As a user that began on the web interface, that’s annoying.

Great for the amateur librarian

Great scanning function. Feeling more and more organised with each beep. Could the developers consider adding the barcode scan to the search function - for if you want to add notes to a particular book which you have in your hand without having to manual search. Thanks!
