Ratings and Reviews
Good, but missing a couple of necessary features.
Overall, Mail works reliably, albeit a bit slow in the search department.
The biggest flaw for me is the inability to snooze emails. I know I can use the ‘Remind Me’ feature but it’s not the same thing (I prefer snoozed emails to be moved out of my inbox).
I also wish there was a better way to automatically group emails by newsletters, notifications, etc. - many other email clients have this why is Apple so slo to develop Mail?
Solid app that needs some more power user features
This is an extremely solid app, it lacks many of the macOS features though. I wish coloured email threads synced to iOS as well. I wish we could set different signatures for each of the email alias, this is extremely important now with custom domains. Also another important part is proper html signatures as well as email templates.
I do have a templates folder set up on macOS and I can easily press “send again” button, but we need proper templates feature that works on all devices.
I am looking forward to seeing the new design language brought to iOS/iPadOS to mimic that of visionOS, will be truly amazing to have some skeuomorphism back in this boring and flat material design world we’ve brought upon ourselves for the past 10 years.
Apple mail is not acceptable
I have been emailing a very important person for at least six years now once a month using the Apple mail app native to the iPad and iPhone and MacBook Pro. This very important person responded to my most recent emails just recently and the response to my recent email went to spam and not my inbox. So I never received the email as intended. This is very serious because they responded to an email that I sent them. Apple you have raised my ire unfortunately for this because this response email that went to the spam folder and not my inbox was very important. Please fix it. Don’t rely on email from any of the big tech. It will let you down when you least expect it.
