Legacy app. Please use our new app "Memory-Map for All" instead of this one. Turns your iPhone/iPad into a powerful Outdoor, Off-Road GPS. If you’re looking for Topo Maps, or Hema 4x4 Maps for Australia or New Zealand to work offline on your iPhone or iPad, this is the place to start. Once your choice of maps are downloaded to your iPhone/iPad, cellular network coverage or internet connection is not required for real time GPS navigation (as long as your device supports a GPS function). The app is designed to be used standalone, but it can also used with the free PC or Mac app where maps and GPS data can be shared with your home computer for planning, printing and 3D visualisation. Then sync everything to your iPhone/iPad and enjoy navigating outdoors with high quality maps. Long time user both off road & marine

Basic moving map program for IOS device that enables at least some of the OziExplorer functionality on an IOS device. Takes a while to get used to but eventually you pick it up. I was also fortunate some years ago to pick up a set of AusNZ marine raster charts, which seem not to be available via the digital shop, which I have found really helpful for route planning as ALL hazards are on the screen ALL the time, unlike vector charts, which have unexpected horrors emerge constantly unless you go through the very time consuming and in exact process of following whole route plan all the way zoomed right in.It would be improved if you didn’t have to buy the same maps/charts separately (twice) to use on both IOS and PC devices.Also, it would be hugely helpful if the Help files were available offline.

Disappointing product

In the past this was a fantastic product. I paid for a series of topographic maps that gave me excellent support when bushwalking and holidaying. Then, one day all my maps were locked out and no replacements made available. Very disappointing to have a wonderful product ripped away from you. Progress should be a progressive improvement but reality is a gradual degradation. I live in hope of a bright future when once useful tools become functional again but don’t expect it.

I have been using the app for 9 years, on pc and ipads. The maps and map layers are good, my low score is for the following; The file or layering system, it is hard to backup your folders, hard to select data for data management, hard to easily transfer data from layer to layer or export. You lose you file / folder structure when exporting your data if you are trying to move between devices. Generally I use other systems to manage files and only use MM to dump and see, this lesson was learnt after several changes between machines. The Ipad functionality limited. In the standard version I have to manipulate the data format and manage data in other programmes to get it into shape for memory maps to use. MM was my goto programmes but less so in the last 3 or 4 years. If MM could fix it folder / file management and allow streaming of online aerial imagery as well ... that would be great...

Finding user defined marks is also more cumbersome than it needs to be and cant be done from the map view screen. The other annoyance is this app wont display track up!? To manage map licenses across devices you’ll need PC access and an account. Using it on an iPad improves usability, but annoying features still remain.
