WARNING to users of the 7-Eleven App. It’s ripping people off. ! I locked in a fuel lock that was a really good price. When I went to use it I went straight into MY Card which shows the barcode as this is what they need to scan. The fuel lock should have been valid for 2 more days yet it had dropped off. Like it does when it’s been used. I contacted 7Eleven by phone. Lodged the incident with in the App as advised. The email response was that they couldn’t see that I had locked it in. So even though I had explained I definitely did they really didn’t listen or care. Then I called again and they said I had only been using the App for 3 months. Which again was totally not accurate. So it seems the App has multiple issues!! And they aren’t taking responsibility for it. So I will be taking my business elsewhere as I don’t support rip offs and dishonesty.

I love this app - I can’t see how anyone can lose by using it !Having read some of the reviews it’s pretty clear people don’t know how this app works and aren’t taking advantage of the great savings.Here’s how I us the app.As I have two cars I set up a second account in my wife’s name - that way I can lock in low prices a couple of days apart and take advantage of lower prices for longer than seven days.I also search nearby stations using the store locator that are outside my 5klm area, but on my regular routes, and lock in cheaper prices when I’m within those areas. I also worked out that if I drive just up the road from my local servo I get a different set of stations and one of them nearly always has THE best prices - so I lock in there and then. Have a play - you will achieve great savings !It’s not for everyone but, I opted to purchase two gift cards and redeemed them to my accounts then pay by credit card at fill up. That way I always have credit on the accounts.If you see a price that is lower than your voucher price you simply don’t use the voucher - you only ever buy fuel at the lower price.It’s easy for a novice user to make a mistake and lock in a voucher for less fuel than you want (like I did). In that case simply buy 2 liters of fuel to use that voucher (you will only ever pay the cheaper price) and then lock in a new voucher.Shame it still doesn’t work on iPhone 8+ !!!!

Tried this app out for the first time in December 2019 - worked great, locked in a great price and off I went. When it came to using it again all I got was errors about trying to use it too many times and trying to load up too much money on my 7-11 card. Here’s the rub. There are limits. There are limited fuel-price searches you can do. You can only use funds on your pre-loaded 7-11 card:The top-up limit is a maximum of $80 per transaction with a maximum of $100 per day• The total monetary value that can be stored within the App cannot exceed a total of $150 over a 7 day period• You can only top-up a maximum of 2 times in any one day.• You can only top-up a maximum of 3 times in a 7 day period.You are also limited in the pre-selected amount you can load onto your card. You will always end up with a cash balance on the 7-11 card that just never gets used or you spend it on useless in-store offers. At the end of the day you might save some money but there are better fuel saving app options out there. Use the NRMA App, if you’re a member or the PetrolSpy App to track down genuine discounts.

Up until recently I thought this app. was spectacular. Locking in lower fuel prices was a genius idea. That was until they changed it. Everywhere at the moment 98 unleaded petrol is $2.54 per litre. I was lucky enough to lock it in at $2.03 per litre. A saving over 50cents. Great bargain. Was excited as the cost of living out weighs wages these days. So yesterday I went to fill up my car it’s only a medium size car so my savings are never huge but they are enough. Well my 50cents a litre is now cut to “you can save up to 25cents a litre”. What?? They literally just cut my saving in half. Why have fuel MATCH prices if you aren’t going to honor this? This app is all lies. Now it doesn’t price match it will give you what it feels like giving you. It’s a fraud and totally despicable. These large foreign run companies just want all our Aussie dollars and it seems we are silly enough to fall into their traps. Me included. I can’t believe the hide of them. If you lock in one price that’s what it should be. Not what they feel like charging you.
