Description
Introducing MYOB Capture – a nifty little app that sends your receipts straight to your In tray (the place where your documents go to get sorted).
Whether you’re a business owner or a bookkeeper, MYOB Capture makes proof of purchase simple. Ducking out of the office to replace your secret stash of novelty sticky notes? Need more floppy disks? (Some people still use them, don’t judge.)
Whatever your business expense, take a quick picture of your receipt and it’ll appear in your In tray in a matter of seconds.
With the documents in your In tray you can then:
- create a new bill
- create a new Spend money
- link to an existing bill
- link to a bank transaction (Essentials only)
With their powers combined, MYOB Capture and your In tray work to help you keep compliant, organised and efficient!
NOTE: To use this app, you need to have an existing MYOB Essentials or AccountRight account. That excludes AccountRight Basic (because it doesn’t have an In tray).

Captured My Praise!
Does exactly what it promises to! Would LOVE to be able to have employees use it for their expenses... Eg. Employee takes a capture and it is sent to the inbox with a note on who sent it... Ooooo, and if they could attach it to a job somehow, even better! ...I know I could send them the email like but I still wouldn’t know whose was whose... Unless they annotate it... Hmm... Problem solved! But doing it through the app would be MUCH easier!
Doesn’t work on new iPhone 15.
I just bought a new iPhone 15 Pro Max and installed MYOB Capture. It was working fine on my Samsung Galaxy but is not working on my new iPhone. All permissions have been enabled and I can log in ok but as soon as I press the camera icon to take a photo the screen turns black and nothing happens. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times but just can’t get it to work. Same thing happens every time, I just get a black screen when I try to take a photo. It doesn’t even save anything to my photo album (even though it’s been enabled). Very disappointing and also very inconvenient for my business. I haven’t been able to get any tech help either.
Very basic, could use some important missing features
While you can take photos of receipts why not allow the app to integrate with the “Share sheet” in iOS so that PDFs from other apps like email, Dropbox etc can be instantly uploaded to our inbox tray?
Most people these days get electronic receipts emailed to them or have scanned them via their document scanners so it’s important to be able to add it via the share function in iOS. I know you can email it to MYOB but that’s extra unnecessary steps
