Full of bugs and loads of clickbait

I downloaded the app years ago and was quite happy but gradually the clickbait gas gotten worse and worse.
Then the most recent update caused ads to become the priority in articles which means the writing moves around constantly as you’re trying to read. It glitches so frequently that the app actually shuts itself down at least once a week.
I’m actually debating whether I should delete it

Soooo Buggy

I didn’t think it was possible to make an already bad news app worse, but you seem to have done just that. The old version used to constantly crash and I always had to flick it off my phone, then reopen it. But at least I got a good amount of the news I wanted to watch. Sure, it’s full of tabloid gossip but I can put up with that and scroll on. Now however, I’m through my “news” in about ten minutes, because the rest is disjointed and unnecessary. I’ll also add that it reloads itself as I’m trying to scroll through, leading to double up stories, or leading to the wrong links when I tap on the article. I thought it was my phone (new 14 Pro) but no. The app is terrible. Which is a shame because this is the right amount of news I need. Please update it!!

Heats up my iPhone 14 Pro Max and drains battery

The latest few versions have killed this app! It now heats up my iPhone 14 Pro Max really hot and slows down while phone until I force quit it. I’m not sure if it is some of the embedded ads running unlimited frame rate maxing out the CPU/GPU or if they are running something in the background to mine crypto on everyone’s phones to make $. It’s certainly not normal and no other apps on my phone have such bad performance. Seriously, you guys need to do some basic QA testing on some iPhones and fix these major performance issues. I’m close to uninstalling and just using ABC News app which works smoothly. Also your ads get triggered when I don’t even click them, when scrolling down an article, launching the advertised game in the App Store. Disgraceful!
