Description

Welcome to Saveful, the free app serving up all kinds of savings!

Did you know that 70% of food binned by Australians is perfectly edible? That’s a fact that’s particularly hard to swallow given that 80% of us are feeling the pinch of the rising cost of living^. Saveful unleashes your food’s potential so you can save food, money and time.

How do we do it? Through our flexible meal frameworks (how chefs cook!). Instead of a rigid list of specific ingredients, our frameworks use core components that let you sub in what you’ve already got in your kitchen and pantry – while guiding you to make great-tasting meals.

HERE ARE SOME TASTY FEATURES FOR YOU TO BITE INTO:

FLEXIBLE MEAL FRAMEWORKS
* Discover how to make delicious meals with the food you already have – perfect for fighting ‘what’s for dinner?’ dread.
* Because Saveful meals can be completely customised to suit your tastebuds and what you have on hand, the options really are infinite!
* Learn how to cook like a chef while saving food and money.
* Experiment in the kitchen with confidence with expert guidance on flavour pairings.

CHEF HACKS
* Unlock a smorgasbord of chef-created hacks, tips and tricks. From parmesan rinds in stocks to avocados in fluffy loaves to using up leaves, skins and stalks – get hacks to repurpose and stretch your food so you can get the most out of it.
* Get ideas on how to remix leftovers into brand-new creations to save you time while keeping things fresh and tasty.
* Discover how to store your food to make it last even longer.
* Access chef-created kitchen hacks and prep tips that help put meals on the table with speed and ease.
* Plus, find out ways to sneak in veggies for fussy eaters!

TRACK YOUR IMPACT
* Track how much food you’re saving every week with our food-saving surveys developed based upon leading Australian food waste research.
* See how your food savings add up to money in the bank.
* Discover how saving food converts to a reduction in Co2.
* Plus, keep track of how many Saveful meals you’ve made.

From the wilted greens that are best after a blitz with some garlic and oil, to the parmesan rind that’s best after a slow cook in something saucy, move past the limits of your food’s ‘best before’ and into the possibilities of its ‘best after’ and start saving with Saveful – it’s free to download and use!

A very well thought out app

Exactly what I needed to figure out what to do with those vegetable odds and ends. I love the way you can build your own recipes and be guided by flavour profiles, very cool! Thank you.

Love the combinations

The concept of food frameworks is amazing. I’ve always known any dish could have unlimited alternatives but I’ve never known what really goes with what. This is such a revelation. Love it!!

Screen size not adjusting

The screen content does not seem to adjust on iPhones with smaller screens (iPhone 7/8).
The Create an account option doesn’t appear although it does on the larger screen of the iPhone 12.
