In-App Purchase Terms
When you subscribe to a plan through the ServiceM8 app, payment will be charged to your Apple ID on a recurring monthly basis. Your monthly subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription in the ServiceM8 app in More > Settings > ServiceM8 Account. Any unused portion of your free trial is forfeited after purchase.

Great product for service style business

I’ve been using ServiceM8 for about 6 years now and still love it! Feature packed and I don’t have to sit in front of my pc late into the night finishing off paperwork and emails as it’s all done in the app onsite. Lots of new things being added all the time, responsive to any issues and great training resources to get setup and going. Syncs with my accounting software too.
I’ve tried several different apps over time but this one has it all.

Great functionality but poor addons

What a great app for day to day management of jobs, personnel and quoting. Easy to manage products and services section to allocate work. Easy customer creation and management (although the swapping of First & Surname for every new client is a massive pain!). Simple search function using any detail of the customer or job. Charges are reasonable and billing is simple. Overall, it fills the role but being a service only business, it has shortcomings because the item descriptions don’t accommodate service only businesses very well.
BUT! If you want to link it to MYOB, forget it. They tell you they work together but they don’t. Name and description limitations for services only businesses make it impossible to tailor your invoices to individual clients. Invoices fail to transfer to MYOB after approval, and payments have to be processed in MYOB and you hope they are processed back to ServiceM8. Joke!

Great CRM. Very helpful and enables the customers to get that personalised service that seems to be lost in the new generations of trades.

A recommendation I have for your development team is; create packages from parts list instead of having to calculate everything in an excel spread sheet to get the ‘package’.

Eg. Inventory item 1 + inventory item 2 + ‘x’ hours labour = ‘package 1’

This way you can track your inventory amounts with the system much easier, automatically have the hours allocated ready for the booking, and if there is 1 item in the package that has a price change- you would be able to change it in inventory and it automatically update the ‘package’.

I believe this could be a great benefit to streamlining bookings, pricing and inventory tracking. Would also work well with the margin billing application you currently have in the premium package of service you offer.

There has been a few times that entering the clients emails on my iPad has not saved the email address. Maybe a small integration bug of the system just doesn’t like entering client details in the field sometimes.
