App needs update
When using the same account as last year you have to use safari but the app still reads it. Please let people know this via email, so it’s easier to use the app for returning users. Other than that no issues perfect!
Good cause. Horrible app.
I suspect you’ll get more people contributing to this worthy cause if the app wasn’t such a disaster. The requirement to log steps even after you’ve synced it to the health program/Apple Watch is insane (refer to every other fitness app for examples of doing this well). When doing so in bulk (ie. batch logging day by day over the last week), there’s a slight lag so you end up logging the previous days steps synced from your Health device. Then there doesn’t appear to be a graph that plots day by day steps so you can’t even tell if you’ve missed a day. It’s like the designers here had no concept of the user experience. It’s a real shame as I think it’s a great program and a worthy cause - with some better UI and development behind it, it’d be beautiful.
“Error Signing In” message keeps appearing, so frustrating!
I first made my account online, then I downloaded the app and tried to login, I got the “Error Signing In” message even though I checked my email and password were correct. I then reset my password, tried again, and the error is still coming up! I hate when apps just have an error message and no reason for the error, it’s completely useless and infuriating. Steptember needs to fix this ASAP because this is an important cause and I need to use the app to track my steps on my iPhone/watch.
