Use Tyro Go and the Tyro Go App in conjunction with our other products for seamless business management:
• Access same day settlement with the Tyro Bank Account¹
• View transactional insights using the Tyro App and Tyro Portal
• Add/delete users in the Tyro Portal
• Supports Tyro Tap and Save², Tyro’s version of ‘least-cost routing’, otherwise known as ‘lowest-cost routing’, ‘low-cost routing’, ‘merchant routing’ or ‘smart routing’. It is when Tap & Go debit card transactions less than $1,000 are processed through the debit network that costs the least providing you with a lower acquiring cost.

Savings on eligible transactions processed through the cheapest network vary for each business depending on their card mix, transaction volume and amount, industry, and pricing plan. Eligible transactions are contactless debit card transactions less than $1,000. Tap & Save is not available on Special Offer pricing which includes some flat fee simple pricing offers or where you surcharge on debit card transactions as cost savings may not be realised. Pretty bad
It’s good when it works, but unfortunately that’s not all the time
You would expect a business as big, and with such a turnover like tyro to be able to make a seamless app for its clients.
The eftpos reader needs to be turned off and connected immediately to power after every single transaction or else, it will run out of battery the second you try to take payment from a customer.
The app itself randomly logs you out of the user or sometimes crashes while standing at a customers doorstep, which is embarrassing and inconvenient.
Previous transactions above a couple weeks or months old do not show in the app for some reason
As a former user of Square, I can Tyro needs a lot of improvement.
1. Make the Tyro Go eftpos machine time out and shut off after 5 or 10 mins of inactivity
2. Fix the annoying bug that crashes the app
3. Fix the annoying but that randomly logs you out when the app smells a customers presence
4. Make old transactions appear in the app instead of deleting themselves after 2 weeks.
Some customers need old receipts
You are getting so much money on commission, show that you care about your customers.
Worst app
Worst app ever, right from the start one big disaster.
When it’s finally set-up, it keeps disconnecting. Now I’ll have a Saturday without eftpos as they can’t resolve the issue!
