As kids we were taught to eat our veggies so they didn’t go to waste, yet as adults we’re often desensitized to the amount of unspoiled sustenance discarded worldwide every day. Olio helps find a home for unwanted edibles, using local postings that are a snap to create or browse. Whether a nearby farm is getting rid of excess rhubarb (it makes great pies, honest) or we’re going on holiday and want the chorizo meatballs in our fridge to end up on a neighbor’s plate instead of in the trash, Olio is a feel-good way to reduce food waste.

I don't understand. It's so counterintuitive given the main goal of the app. There's even no way to look what kind of offer are available with no subscription plan. Waste of time app. Deleted.

The idea sounded very good who doesn't like to save waste and get free stuff at the same time? Here's what I didn't like about it: it asks you to pay to use most of its features, I downloaded out to get free stuff not to pay for another monthly subscription. So I used the unpaid option, and I couldn't see any posts to judge what I signed up for. I should mention also that the app takes itself too seriously you have to agree to a pledge to be allowed to sign up for the mandatory account. Then you have to verify your email and phone number. I'm going to delete it and's I think all of this effort was for me to give the developers some personal information they can sell to advertising companies.
For this release, we have made some improvements to how the app works under the hood, making for a faster and smoother experience.
