The Scotiabank mobile app lets you manage, move, and monitor your money using your mobile phone.

When you use Scotiabank’s mobile deposit feature, we will access your device camera to take a picture of your cheque; record the cheque number, account number, institution transit number, and amount; record your device model, as well as its iOS version and manufacturer.

When you download or update this app, or when you apply for, enrol in, or use a service through mobile banking, we may collect information about your computer or device, operating system, internet connection or telephone account, settings, IP address and device locational data, and transaction data, as well as personal information.

We may collect, use, disclose, and retain this information as set out in the Scotiabank Privacy Agreement (scotiabank.com/ca/en/about/contact-us/privacy/privacy-agreement.html) and to determine which settings are appropriate for your computer system, to provide or enhance digital functionality and banking options, and for security purposes, internal analysis, and reporting.

Can you add the send money with “Siri” feature that several other banking apps have! That would be great!

Thank you for your feedback! This feature is actually already available in the app, ready for you to enable after you have sent money.

The steps to enable this feature are: 1) Complete an email money transfer 2) Go to Shortcuts app on device 3) Go to Gallery 4) Tap the Send money item with the Scotiabank icon in Shortcuts from Your Apps section 5) Give the shortcut a custom phrase that you would like Siri to listen to and run the shortcut. For example, I use “Hey Siri, send money via Scotiabank” the app opens, authenticates me and takes me right to the send money flow.

These same steps apply to enable this feature for other activities like bill payments, fund transfer, deposit a cheque, after you have successfully completed the activity.

If it isn't broken don't fix it

The app before was great. Hate that you dropped support for widgets and apple watch for quick views on balances on accounts.

Bring that back in next update.

Would like to give a zero star

Fix this or I’m taking my 30 year business elsewhere. Who is responsible fo making the decisions to release this without many of the previous features we rely on- like future date bill payments. Telling me to login on line is insulting. Why do you have an app?
