Rubbish

Worked great for the first week. Able to turn shower on and the info provided after each use was fantastic. Started the shower one morning and when I went upstairs it wasn’t running so I assumed it was an error on my part and I hadn’t actually started it. Started the shower manually and then after my shower I turned it off manually and thought no more about it. Quite a few hours later I went upstairs and found the shower running!! I’ve no idea how long it had been on for, or how much water had been wasted but since that day the app hasn’t worked. Every time I try to use it the preparing shower function takes ages before a warning comes up to say it was unable to start the shower due to an error. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. Disconnected and reconnected the shower until to the wiFi but it’s useless.

Hi thanks for the review. I'm sorry to hear the app / shower is giving you problems. I would suggest raising a new bug report (by shaking your phone when you're on the app) and our support team will look into the problem for you and try to get you up and running correctly! AM

Frustrating

My experience has been similar to debbierussel5. We never get more than a couple of days operating from the app. It then stops starting from the app, except that a kind of delayed start happens later when noone is in the shower. Luckily I am home a lot of the time and hear it and can turn it off. The Aqualisa people have been supportive but we have been around 6 months on this. Its a good shower when operated manually but why on earth is this sold as a smart shower?! Update August 22 We are still experiencing the same problems. Sometimes we can go a few days when the shower will start after a delay (brush teeth, flossing etc whilst you wait), or it starts randomly later in the day not at all. This despite a change to the valve unit, power cycling, disconnect/reconnect to wi-fi and reinstalling app. Support staff have been encouraging and app had been updated since January but no significant change for the user. Fortunately its a good shower, a smart shower it is not (yet) for us. Jon

Update. After an engineer visit we were able to use the app to operate the shower from Feb 2024 onwards though not access statistics (for previous year the app would not operate the shower but we could access statistics) which was positive. However, since early Sep the app will not connect to Aqualisa servers: cannot login, reset password or create new account - even trying on another phone. This means no way to log a case with iOS support!

Absolutely Useless

We have tried so many times to sort the same issues mentioned in other reviews. We have other Alexa devices which work perfectly. The Aqualisa app is Aqualisauseless and we’ve wasted many hours trying to get it to work properly. One of the issues is Alexa saying shower is not responding & the shower switches on a few minutes later of it’s own accord. We have a mum who is 91 and we purchased this shower so she could turn the shower on by voice command on her specific profile. The shower rarely responds to “Alexa turn the shower on”. We contacted the customer service department at the beginning of the year and was informed that there are a few issues which the new app will solve and advised us to be patient and wait for the new app due out in April. We had the shower fitted mid January still unable to use the voice command options - what a farce. Aqualisa I would have thought you should have addressed all these issues pointed out in the feedback from all your purchasers of this smart shower. Surely as this shower has been purchased by many people with many problems it warrants everyone contacting trade descriptions act that’s how strongly I advice not to waste your money!
