Dreadful app

Firstly why is this app tracking my children's region and ethnicity and where is this data stored? What has it got to do with Arbor or their education? Are the school going to work harder teaching some races than others? I certainly hope not and if so why is this any more relevant than their eye or hair colour? At least their height and weight could be a sign of health. Aside from breaching data protection collecting irrelevant data, the app itself is totally unusable. I’ve got one child in the infant school and one in the juniors. So I need to have two accounts, and switch between one and the other. The majority of parents are refusing to use this and I will be joining them. There must be a system the school can use that is actually fit for purpose.

I’ve also just read the app does not save card details for payments due to their “strict security protocols” when every other app or establishment has figured out a way to securely save card details.

Lazy development. Clearly do not care in the slightest about ease of use for parents.

Refuse to use this app and make the school find something better.

Parent pay wasn’t great but you could see both children with one login, it saved card details and didn’t collect deeply personal yet entirely irrelevant information.

New app for school AWFUL

Awful app, students can’t have a app just parents, so kids have to log on through desktop version. Not helpful when they need to quickly check their timetable in the mornings.
If something has been done on assignments unless it is submitted through the app there is no way to check off it has been done, we have to wait for the teacher to do it, so it sits in either overdue or in assignments to do even if we have done them. So it gets very confusing seeing what has been done and what new has been set. There are better apps out there for schools, show my homework, edulink. This is all just to busy with complications it doesn’t need to have and the simplest of things aren’t there,

God help any parents that have had their school change to this app 🤦🏻‍♀️ and if you are a school reading this please re consider.

Some functionality is frustrating

My child’s school uses this only for payments and booking appointments with teachers, and for the most part that all works fine. However one major frustration is with the payment screen. I have to enter my card details every time from scratch (please tie up with Apple Pay so I can just tap and use my Touch ID), and when I am populating the fields on my mobile phone the last two fields are completely obscured by the ‘pop-up’ keyboard, with no scrolling possible so I cannot actually see what I am typing in. This causes me to swear every single time because it is so tedious (and I inevitably make at least one error with my ‘fat’ fingers). The whole process takes three times longer than it should!
