Good app for sorting out homework but there is one problem!
lanna_xx
I’ve had this app since starting school and it is brilliant for sorting out my homework and especially in lockdown so I can do and submit the work I need to! The only problem with this app is that I get notifications about twelve hours after they need to come through. For example, I go onto the app in the morning and see I’ve had some english work set called ‘Annalise this extract from Hamlet’ I complete the work and submit it. It ticks off the list and I can’t see it anymore but then about seven o’clock in the evening my phone beeps with a notification from this app saying “New English Homework set ‘Annalise this extract from Hamlet’” I have already done this work so it is annoying that I get notifications late. This happens with all types of work. Another example is when I get a notification saying ‘You have four out of four tasks still to be completed for tomorrow‘ this would usually make sense to pop up in the evening but when I go into the app I have no work that is set for tomorrow and the notification should have come the day before! I personally think that this app worked better when it was SMHW since the update it has become slow with notifications! I wondered if anyone else has or has had this problem or if it can be fixed? Apart from this one problem I think this app is great and really helps me sort out my homework and see what lessons I have on my timetable now that my paper copy is destroyed it is good to have one on my phone. Thank you for reading my review and I hope it helps! xxx😊
Why I Like Using Satchel One
The Pros and Cons of Among Us
Ok, this app is decently fab-u-lous. I love how easy it is to use and the details it has. It says how long the homework is until it is due, tells you who see the homework and what subject, has things included such as the extra details and what to do with a title by your teachers. You can write some things on the class chat where the students and teachers can see it and answer any questions you may want to ask your teachers or for fellow students to answer if they know it. You can even message your parents directly, which is often more likely to receive a response. I do use Microsoft Teams for messaging both students and parents, which is sent quicker, but that is besides the point. I like how easy it is and the Show My Homework detail is the only one I use, but I have heard other things about it. As a student at school, I am thankful that we are not challenged with remembering homework tasks set in my mind, which could easily be forgotten without Satchel One. I overall suggest this app majorly to all schools because of the easily accessible and available resources on there, working on pretty much all devices.
Used to be better

I like most people use my phone for most things and that includes looking at assignments. On the old app this was perfectly fine and you could look back on all the assignments you had in the past which is really helpful if you missed something from ages ago that wasn’t super important so you don’t catch up on it right away. However now in a recent ish update the only way you can view tasks from a long time ago or not immediately due within the next two weeks is by going onto a computer and logging into satchel through there. This is incredibly irritating if you have a huge project with a due date months away because you then can’t quickly remind yourself about the details of the task the teacher has set you have to log onto a computer and look through there. This wouldn’t be so irritating if they didn’t change it from being perfectly good to now this system of only seeing tasks a few weeks ahead or behind on the app, i simply cannot understand why they would make this change. Why would you remove features from your app. Furthermore because of this two week period if you have overdue tasks for more than this timeframe they also disappear so then you don’t know what you’re behind on because it checks itself off after a certain period of time. Very irritating for long time users who know how good it used to be.
If you’re a child reading this hello I did that too
give me a nick name dude
Kinda wish it had a half way reminder to do your homework instead of just receiving notifications when it’s set or when it is due for…like no way I’m gonna check the app constantly throughout the week only a person who wants to pass their gcses does that, but most of us just trying to get by require a half way reminder so we don’t wake up and have to break it to your mum that might be working nights or whatever that you have cooking homework due and you need half the supply of Tescos to bring into school In half an hour. I mean even if it had the half way reminder I’d still ignore it but others might not.. Overall it’s a good app and stuff but as you can tell from reading this I have not done my English homework for a couple of years (my fault) but I feel a half way reminder would help benefit me and my other friends because every child I know that uses this is immensely drowning in ‘miss/mr set homework’ like I don’t want to know that I want to know to do it three days before it is due so I’m not scavenging for all the knowledge that I can’t even find because I never had it (yet again my fault) What I’m trying to say is please remind me 4 days before my cooking homework is due so I don’t have to sob at Tescos buying plain flour because my cooking is due in 20 minutes and my mum is yelling at me… Uhm great app though ugly colours together and a bit boring but overall really good and I love the ‘well done all caught up’ it’s really cute. I gave it 3 stars because I want a half way mark and I thought that would be kinda funny or something. Thanks for allowing me to write some review that wont be read. Beanstalk
