I love the whole idea of this concept but the website and app seem to be very basic and clunky. Plus you get different information on the app than the website. For example the website will tell you if your message has been read whilst the app doesn’t! It’s just a small thing but it’s quite handy to know.
Also another annoying thing is you have to pay to communicate with someone, which I get but there’s no guarantee that after you’ve paid your money you will get any responses and if owners don’t pay then they can’t respond to your message, which makes it pointless as to why you would put your dog on there.
I live in one of the larger cities in the UK and thought I’d have no problems getting to walk a dog and yet after a week I’ve had 0 replies dispute messaging lots of owners, although I get that during the COVID-19 means that everyone and his dog (pun intended!) is turning to sites like this.
Overall amazing idea but could be better

I have a very Active dog, since purchasing him several years ago I now also have a baby & a toddler. This app is brilliant as it means we have been able to still give my puppy that little bit extra in terms of time & attention. We have connected with several dog borrowers over the year. My Puppy knows each and everyone of them & gets very excited when they come to visit. We’ve also met some really lovely people which is a nice bonus.

Ironically my dog is so friendly I often run into people in real life who would like to “borrow” him, I alway refer them to the app as that way I get the security of a third party who has vetted the borrower first.

The only frustration I have is the app doesn’t actually tell you when you have a new message. I get an email but that’s easy to miss & occasionally this has caused miscommunication. I imagine message notifications from the app is an upcoming development, just hoping it comes soon.

I pay for prime, mentioning this first because if I’m paying for a service this would naturally result in a higher critique in my opinion. The apps location services do not update properly. Customer service line was not available during their opening hours??? The responses I received through email were useless and took way too much time to resolve when issue should have been addressed in first instance but I kept being provided the turn it off and on again IT responses which did not investigate my issue. After several emails back and forth I was finally told my address was not entered properly. This should have been raised in the offset. I entered my address correctly and if more detail was needed there should have been a function to tell me otherwise before submitting.
This wasted time as I was connecting with people who were not in my area and had to go through the disappointment after communicating with said people that we were not in fact close like the app was suggesting. What a waste of time!
