Bosch Thermal 4+

The Bosch Measuring Master app for iOS used to transfer images off the GTC 400 C stopped working for me, possibly due to an iOS update. Bosch couldn’t help me.
Today Bosch have launched their new Thermal app for iOS especially for the camera. Being a dedicated Thermal app it’s much easier to transfer images than it was before. It has a new feature to export the images into a PDF which works well and looks professional. I recommend disabling Save images automatically to gallery as this only copies the thermal images, not the related standard images. When you export them from a project it copies both types of image. I have setup a Shared Album in Photos especially for this, as you can only export directly to Shared Albums, not My Albums. The image editing needs improvement. I need the facility to rotate images in 90 degree stages to correctly show images taken in portrait mode. Also there seems to be no way to save changes made to the Thermal Image/Real Image slider. When improved I'll rate it 5 stars.

I’ve just bought the GTC 400 and it connected to the app very easily and downloaded the pictures quickly. One thing I would love to see is the ability to connect to the GTC400 and stream the screen to the iPhone so you could record video straight to the iPhone.

When using this app, first I had to connect to the wifi then go into the ‘i’ icon to change wifi settings and switch off “limit IP address tracking” so that allowed the photos to download to the app finally. I’m using an iPhone.

Then I tried checking the photos on the app which downloaded, almost every single one said “image is invalid and cannot be displayed”

So it’s either I connect to the laptop or return it, currently deciding which.
