Good app but..

Yes it’s a great app, easy to browse and looks good. Inputting your voucher codes can be a very time consuming process on a phone though if you have several to use, so much so that I’ve had things in my basket go out of stock whilst I’ve been tapping the details in! Could we not get physical vouchers that could be scanned within the app?

One more slightly irritating thing that happens every time you sign in to the app is that it goes through the mini tutorial. This only takes a few seconds but it happens every time I sign in and can’t be skipped. It doesn’t detract much from a great app but surely it’s not necessary every time? Otherwise, an easy to use and excellent app!

To avoid misuse of vouchers, all the details have to manually entered when redeeming it online. But I will definitely share your idea about scanning the voucher through the App and also about the mini tutorial with team for their review.

The memory of a Gold fish

The app itself is solid as a shop. But it never remembers who you are from one day to the next. CEX tell you to reinstall the app if this happens, but that doesn’t help. Every time you start the app you have to go through the introduction of how to use the app. It never remembers your login details so you have to go through that process every time you open it. Has no copy/ paste at the login screen so you can’t save time on your details. The email reminders for items coming in stock rarely work. Went through my wishlist which is set up with email reminders yesterday and over two dozen items had been restocked and I’ve not been alerted about any of them.
CEX also needs to figure out something with their delivery charges because ordering multiple items and having to pay individual delivery charges on each item is ridiculous. You could buy 5 items that could be posted together for around £3.20 and end up paying 5x £1.95. It completely kills the idea of purchasing multiple low cost items as you end up paying way over the odds for them with the individual delivery charges. I get why they do it; because the items are at random stores. But that cost shouldn’t be passed on to the consumer.

Hey, your valuable feedback is really appreciated. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app which should resolve the login issues as it could be due to the app not being on the latest version. Also, the items are sourced and delivered from different stores across the UK as per their availability so as per our policy, items valued up to £100 will incur a delivery charge of £1.95 per individual item. Any individual items purchased over the value of £100 does not incur a delivery charge.

App crashes

Ok, so I’ve just installed the app as I’ve enjoyed buying from CeX online and thought it would be handier using my phone to check my account.
Initially I was pleased that the app layout was as user friendly as the website but on checking my purchases the app opened up my top two orders in my list without any problems but having tried to open the third order in my list the app crashed - THREE TIMES! 😉👎
I’ve an iPhone 6s Plus running the latest iOS version of 12.1.4 and it hasn’t proved problematic on any other app, just this CeX app and always crashes when trying to access the third order in my list. To quote the late Lewis Carroll.... “Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English).” This is indeed a conundrum and hopefully one the app developer can iron out in a coming update?
Other than that, a decent app I look forward to using quite a bit in the future! 😉👍
