Welcome to the The Co-operative Bank mobile banking app.

Our mobile app features include:

• Log in with TouchID, FaceID or passnumber – it’s quick and secure
• Save and pay a new payee
• View and delete payees
• Browse over a year’s worth of transactions on your current, savings and loan accounts
• View and delete your scheduled payments
• Make payments to your Co-operative Bank credit card without the need to set up a new payee
• Switch your statement preferences on your current or savings account
• Transfer between your Co-operative Bank accounts
• Pay your saved payees
• Additional steps to protect you from fraud when paying a new payee
• Update your email address and telephone number.
• The ability to apply for some products directly
• View up to 7 years of statements for current accounts, savings, ISAs and loans.
• Share your account details with one of your contacts directly from the app

Gaining access

To gain access to our app you will need to register for online banking if you haven’t already done so. If you have, you will need your username, password and 6-digit security code to log in.

Is my phone compatible?

For security reasons, to use our mobile app you’ll need to be using an Apple device on iOS 15 and above, you also won’t be able to use the app if your device is jailbroken.

If you are not able to update to this version, you can log into online banking to access your accounts.

Terms of use

We collect non-personal user data to monitor how well the app works. For example, measuring how long you spend on a particular screen. We collect a limited amount of personal data to allow you to use the app, for fraud prevention purposes and to help us to fix problems and improve the app for everyone. Everyone is opted in to this feature. If you do not want us to process your personal data in this way, please delete the app. If you download the app, you consent to sharing how you use it. Find out more about how we use this in our Privacy Policy, available within the app.

Staying safe

To protect our customers we use a range of security measures including the latest encryption technology. Independent security experts have tested the security of our app.

There are still a few things you can do to protect yourself using the app:
• Only download the app from official app stores
• Never share your login details with anyone
• When logging on in a public place, keep your details out of sight
• Always install the latest security and operating system updates

Please note:

We won’t charge you for downloading or using the app. However, your mobile network provider may charge you for data use, depending on your tariff or contract. Contact your operator for details. You may also use this service when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Out dated

Only joined this bank this year. Downloaded this app as my experience with my old bank Santander was very good. This app is nothing like what i was used too very disappointing and stressful. It logs me out constantly at least once every week telling me its unable to tell if its secure and telling me to restart the app however unfortunately i have no way to restart it as it does not give me any option so have to delete it and reinstall it every week so frustrating. Recently lost my card so immediately logged on my app to freeze my card however was no option to freeze or report my card lost just gave me telephone number to ring. Took ages to get through on the phone and was then passed to someone else, had someone found my card and decided to use the contactless feature in the time it took me to report it missing someone could of easily used it and spent my money. This app needs up dating with the times far to basic. Freeze card needs adding and option to block card when missing

A great bank - app could be improved

When I first started banking with the Cooperative, I greatly appreciated the ease and pleasure of telephone banking. 24/7 there were friendly and helpful operators easily available.

Those days are gone. Phoning the bank is to be avoided unless it is essential and one has an hour to spare. Presumably only a handful of operators are employed. However, at least there is a handy app. The app is useful in many ways and presumably saves the Bank from employing many people. But the app does *not* allow communications, which must be done by letter, phone or at a desk computer.

I have no idea why not, as it would greatly improve the banking experience - nearly all done by the mobile app these days. I have asked about and suggested this several times. Surely I cannot be alone. Why is the Bank so slow to implement improvements of this kind?

Hi, I'm sorry if you've had to wait to speak to an adviser when you called. We do work hard to improve call wait times and our average wait at the moment is around ten minutes. The Cooperative Bank is improving gradually with her services to her customers. The marked progress is an improvement on her average services to her customers in the past. It appears Co-operativebank lacks the visibility other banks have in the UK. Some ATMs do not recognise the Cooperative bank’s Cards. Customers like me have been forced to open accounts with other banks so I can operate freely by using my Bank Card.
Now I can use my Debit/Credit card to tap freely on sensors on the underground and other shops. It wasn’t possible for years. Where other Banks sought proactive ways to do their banking services, the Cooperative Bank lagged behind. A lot of work needs to be done to identify herself with current trends in the Banking sector. For the first time in more than 20 years, I was able to get an overdraft of £200. That was better than the past where I wasn’t allowed to enjoy the very basic of the basic from a bank I’d been with for over 20 years. A big let down that appears to have improved.
