Daily Express 12+

This Express app is really awkward to use and frequently fails to respond properly. Navigation is erratic: Pages often jump to different parts of an article for no reason, so you then need to scroll back to where you were reading - again and again. Images sometimes fail to load. In-article links to other news stories usually don’t work. It’s easier to use a separate browsing app and visit the Express website, rather than tolerate this **** app.

Just spent 15 minutes adding a creative note to an article I wanted to share, then, big upset, what I had entered was gone, no idea where. At this moment I want to smash my iPad to bits, I hate it. When open this app causes my iPad to become almost too hot to hold even in standby mode. Whilst reading articles it jumps about all over the place and time and again I get into an interesting article and it's gone. It really is the most disgusting app because it makes me so angry and I don't need this in my life. I think the iPad may be part to blame. They used to be so easy and reliable to use, now they are complicated and unfriendly obviously produced by a new generation of people at Apple who must be insane because they are having a laugh. They have absolutely no idea as to how best to design user interfaces, no idea at all, they are totally useless. Boy, do we need SJ back, his 'it just works' legacy has been destroyed probably by infiltrators from the old resurgent enemy.

I downloaded the Express app along with other newspaper apps (including Guardian and Mirror) for the election as I wanted to see what the various papers were saying. Not only was the Express app hugely entertaining with its short articles, but it was updated constantly and was actually pretty much bang on when it came to the sentiment of the country in the run up to the election. It was the perfect tonic! It now ranks alongside Sky and the Telegraph in my perusing for news, in fact I find it is irresistible! Well done to the Express team, and thank you. The only downer is the adverts before any video, but they only last a few seconds and why should anything as good as this be for free?
