Incredible experience
Truly joyous experience setting up my new Reactor with the app! Really quick and painless and I was able to start listening in minutes.
Paired with the Arch system, I’m able to use the app to jump between Bluetooth listening and analogue with my turntable seamlessly.
Compared to the spark app this is a huge upgrade and I’m happy the software now lives up to the hardware!

Generally works but with big pain points
You’d think connecting a £2500 speaker to your £2000 smart TV should be seamless but it’s not, I’ve had to connect via the optical cable to keep it connected as Bluetooth often disables itself and has too much time lag. With the optical cable it works a lot better, whenever the TV switches on it switches back to optical cable output EXCEPT the speaker gets confused when there are two mobile devices connected to it with the Devialet app and then it doesn’t switch to optical cable sometimes when the TV is on. There is another really annoying bug where I registered through the app and it didn’t save my credentials in my Apple keychain so I don’t remember my password, and using the “forgotten password” link on both the app and the website seems to do nothing. Also, as they app is not storing my credentials on the keychain it signed me out and I didn’t realise.

Okay but needs improvement given the cost of the product it controls
The app is mediocre… functionality as a volume remote is quite good and it’s nice to be able to reduce the bass a tad when needed as the speaker has plenty. But it crashes continuously, loses the speaker even thought it’s still playing, it loses control of the volume therefore, and I often have to totally restart the app and the phantom to get it to appear in the app again. For a £1400 speaker, not really good enough. Hate to say it as a I love devialet a lot, but this app really need working on given the cost of the speaker, as the Sonos app in all fairness didn’t do this at all…
