Connection issues and still no voice support without alexa

Interesting app that has lots of great features, however it feels clunky (lots of taps required) and slow to use its main feature (for me) which is simply turning my one fan up and down. If it had iOS siri integration this could be resolved.
I do have occasional connection issues with my device but these can be resolved with a hard reset of my fan, although this is needed less frequently this year.
Finally, homekit integration still doesn’t appear to be on the cards for this premium product, which is a shame because apple have now made it easier for hardware manufacturers to set this up (doesn’t require a specific chip in the fan any more). I desperately want to buy a second fan for another part of my main room but am holding off until i can easily voice control my devices.

Seen so so many 1 star reviews of this App that it jolted me into actually leaving my own review & experience in using this Dyson App with my own x2 hot & cool fans.
The App has been running now for nearly 2 years with only 1 minor problem when Dyson had admitted problems with their servers. It's a smooth, sleek App that's easy & logical to control your Smart Dyson products... Works fine with me if over WiFi or 4g & I can control my Heating or Cooling without a hitch. I think nearly all the 1 star reviews mainly come from users who cannot work their own Routers TBH & just blame the Dyson App as coming from an IT background it's a common theme with people who take out their own lack of IT understanding of how Smart Devices work by simply blaming the Apps or Hardware when in most cases it's them not being able to operate their own Routers. Sure Google Home would be nice but at least it has Alexa & Siri support for those that Demand a Voice act funct. I've always found a quick Tap better than the voice thing anyway so...
Overall this App functions as it should IMHO & I for 1 can recommend it ;)

Improved but still needs work

So recent updates have improved this app and it works near perfectly however it still does not work properly on the newer models. The older mode works fine with this app but the newer one has issues establishing connection, often disconnects itself and my request to not install updates (which can brick the device) has not been obeyed. Automatic updates seem to happen regardless of if you turn the setting on or off.

On the newer devices the update will fail to finish and after several hours when I unplug the device the update somehow ends and it is on the latest version however occasionally it will brick the whole device making it stuck in update mode and forcing you to remove it and re-add it.

Also would like to see HomeKit integration and proper Alexa and google home support.

Hi Popalata, we're sorry to hear you're having so many issues with your new Dyson Pure Cool. Connectivity issues can be due to a number of things, but a quick fix can be to unplug the product from the mains for 10 minutes and plug it back in. This will force the product to re-establish connection and can solve the intermittent connection issue. As for the firmware update, if your connection to the machine is unstable it can have difficulty updating to the latest firmware. Try moving the product closer to the router you may find the connection is more stable and it will update normally.
