Ratings and Reviews
I absolutely love this game, and since the latest update I have had no crashes at all!
The antialiasing that has been added makes things a touch more blurry but I think it's a fair trade off and makes the game look nicer over all.
This update is SO overdue, but very welcome none the less. Now I can fully enjoy this legendary game :^)
UPDATE: I have come across one bug so far. After video cut scenes finish I get the sound from the scene play again from the beginning on the map screen. Once I enter a location it stops though. Weird and a little annoying but luckily not a game breaker :^)
Great game, mediocre port
This is a fantastic game, played it part through on psp some years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly, was very excited to hear it was coming to iOS, and have waited months for the iPad release. But to be honest, I'm just really narked at sqeenix for their continued separation of iPhone and iPad games. I understand they want to charge more for the iPad, and I understand the pricing, after all I paid twice this price for my psp version. But why not make an iPhone version and a universal version like classic iOS games such as world of goo and sword and sworcery.
I desperately want to be able to pick my games up from where I left off on any device I have on me, not just on my iPad, and I'm deffinately not paying out twice just to own it on my iPhone as well, especially seeing as there's no iCloud support.
Oh and I forgot to mention, the touch controls are rather anti-intuitive. Pushing anywhere on the screen will confirm an action, whereas on most apps pushing outside of a menu box l cancel the menu box.. Loads of accidental moves done. They could have done with redesigning the interface for touchscreen. Never mind, can't expect perfection from a company that's past it's peak.
Hardest RPGs ever
Hi usually I have no problem playing RPGs being a RPGs player since play station 1 first came out and having competed 7,8, and 9 final fantasies etc I thought this would be easy. It's not it's hard you need to do a lot of grinding in the early stages just to get past the first 5 or so stages. And defeat the mages first cause they know level 2 spells other than that it's a great game with great story and I love the drawings and graphics they use. The most Visuallay appealing game on the iPad so far. One thing I forgot to mention save your game at the start before the first mission or else you'll go continue and you end'll up watching yourself lose again unable to do anything to stop it. Needs a quit or back to title menu during battle.
