Description

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1] [2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors [2]
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

APP INFORMATION

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the app does not provide one.

[2] Alarms that you receive do not include your glucose reading, so you must scan your sensor to check your glucose.

Good app, but needs to connect to Apple Health and allow data sharing

I find this app very intuitive to use and it’s really useful being able to track my blood sugar overnight and after exercise.
The only downside for me is not being able to connect this app to Apple Health, which is probably due to restrictions for sharing medical info but still, having my fitness apps and this app be able to communicate via the Health app would be really nice!
I’ve heard the argument that you don’t want to share health data with other companies, but that should be based on MY consent. I am currently choosing to share that information, and it’s a painfully manual process. There are plenty of examples where competitors are already allowing Apple Health data connections, which are extremely useful.

Either do that, or add in functionality to automatically track the effects of exercise with an ML algorithm, like “Quin”, so that I can have a full picture of all the interactions of food, exercise, BG, and insulin doses that learns over time and can provide predictions.

Absolute game changer for diabetes control

Have only been using this for 10 days so far and my God it changes the life of a diabetic!
No more going to bed with the little feeling of worry that you'll wake up face to face with a paramedic, or going out for the evening and guessing what your blood sugar is on as you haven't got your kit with you, speaking from a human perspective the above is something diabetics have to deal with and the Libre changes all of that. So impressed with it and couldn't be without it now. Yes it's not the cheapest, but its a small price to pay for the better quality of life you get. The ONLY gripe I have, and I'm certain a simple update would rectify this, is the alarms going off! Yes 3am, the alarm goes off, fantastic! I have my dose of sugar and go back to sleep. 5 minutes late the alarm goes off again!! And then again and again! Bloods don't instantly go up it takes a while! Please please please PLEASE add a snooze function to the alarm function for 20 mins or so! This will enable the blood result to rise above hypo level and stop the alarm waking myself and my wife up repeatedly! If this is possible please consider it as this is such a welcome bit of kit!
Keep up the good work. 👍

Could be better

I have type 1 diabetes and was recommended to have this by my nurse. This app overall is okay but when you scan it 50% of the time says it’s unavailable and you have to wait 10 minutes but after those 10 minutes it says to wait another ten minutes .😡Also I tried clicking a few buttons that normally work but it didn’t work. Things to improve: Buttons The amount of times it says the glucose readings are unavailable UPDATE: I found out apparently the unavailable readings are because my glucose is changing rapidly (mainly because I’m a child and I am very active) But if you don’t agree to their privacy policy your kicked out of the app/account (I haven’t actually decided to agree yet (must check with my dad)) UPDATE I put a sensor in 18:36 on the 17th and the next day it hurt when I moved my arm. Today 00:13 I was having constant low readings like 3.1, 3.0mmol/L I wasn’t lying on it and then after that it said my sensor is not working and I have to replace it DEVS respond to some negative reviews at least cause we all like positive reviews from developers point of view but negative matter (unless you want more negative reviews)
And I am starting to suspect you are using copy and paste for the response. please please please reread all the reviews people edit them. you may find edited reviews on ones you have already responded to so try and send another response or edit yours
Thanks
