Hollie Guard turns your smartphone into a personal safety device.
In danger? Shake your phone or tap the screen to generate an alert. Your location and audio/video evidence will automatically be sent to your emergency contacts who can take action to help you quickly. Three alert types - Personal, Stealth, and Deterrent - allow you to choose an alert setting appropriate to your specific needs.
Meeting someone? The Meeting Timer gives you extra protection when you are going to a dangerous meeting or are meeting someone new. Simply enter descriptive information and the duration of the meeting. When the meeting time has expired an alert will automatically be raised.
Traveling? The Journey feature allows you to notify your friends, family, and co-workers of your movements while traveling. Enter your start and end point, and an SMS & email will be sent to your emergency contacts when you’ve started and safely completed your journey.

Having read previous reviews before downloading I registered via the app & then received both a text & email with online links to complete registration. I found trying to upload info difficult via the app but much easier via the website. Once uploaded I was able to test the alert system, complete with flashing lights & alarm - worked fine. It asks if you are safe before cancelling.
I think once you get used to using the app & ensure you choose your settings before you need it you should have no problems.
I’ll be recommending it to lone worker colleagues & friends.
Absolute fab app, have read through the negative reviews, but I have to say I have never had any issues or problems with the app. So cannot relate to them, although I did test this app out first so I knew how to use it properly, perhaps without doing that, I may of experienced some issues.
I have found this app to be fantastic and has worked absolutely fine for me.
I love the fact it gives your location and If needed video forage, which I have tested out with friends to check it works etc.... it was fab. Would definitely recommend this app.
Could be improved
Someone suggested this app to me, and I can safely say that I’ve felt a lot safer since using it. This app is amazing because it’s very easy to use, as well as multiple different features designed to alert your companions if their are any concerns. However the one problem I find very frustrating about this app is that when you’re on your road, it immediately asks if you are safe. If you click “yes” then the journey ends, but if you click “no” it raises an alarm. I assumed this was down to just using my postcode but this was not the case. I always ensure that I include the house number on my journeys and this is still a big concern.
