It’s now easier than ever to find your key services within the app, we’ve organised the home screen by categories. You will see all of your energy account related features first and foremost as you told us these were most important to you. The home screen is personalised to you, depending on what features your account should have.
Homes are becoming more and more connected, with Smart Meters and Smart devices such as the new Honeywell Lyric Thermostat allowing us to gain more control of our home while on the go. The Smart Home section allows you quick and easy access to all of your Smart Home devices, right there on the home screen with just one click.
As a company, we are committed to a cleaner energy future and we want to allow you to easily control your eco-friendly Electric Vehicle in the app, find your nearest charging point and see some other key information about your vehicle as we add more features to the app.
Stay Logged In
We have introduced the ability to stay logged in to the app. You may be used to this with some of your favourite apps, if you would like to log out each time the option is still there in My Account.
Change My Tariff
Are you on the best energy deal for you? Our online tariff selector lets you compare our available energy tariffs and it only takes a few minutes to choose a new tariff. WithFreedom, you can change to any ScottishPower tariff without paying exit fees.
Direct Debit Manager
Stay in control of your monthly direct debit payments within the app. Our handy direct debit manager tool allows you to view your gas and electricity usage and adjust payments to suit your needs, helping you to know where you stand with your bills.
View Bills & Energy Usage
Monitor your energy usage and bills across the year, view a detailed breakdown of your gas and electricity and even email your bill with our simple usage and bills graphs. There is also some really handy energy efficiency tips to keep you on the right track.

Staying with Scottish Power
Having been with Scottish Power for many many years we have always been happy with the negotiated renewal rates ( often with a bit of bargaining) after many suggestions that we should agree to have a smart meter fitted, I was totally against a meter because of the bad reports of the first type being fitted. When I called to agree my next years unit rates I was told there was one price for having a smart meter fitted and higher price if we didn’t agree to have one fitted - at the time I called “blackmail” but reluctantly I agreed to have a smart meter fitted and I can honestly say I have no regrets. The first meter that was fitted failed after about a month and it took a while for a new one to be installed. The information it provides is very helpful and submitting monthly readings couldn’t be easier with an instant figure calculated as to whether the account is in credit or debit. Like everybody else our costs will increase in April but having the smart meter will allow us to identify where we can save money by switching off any items using electricity that can be done without.
Improve your messaging
Getting a text that says “ You don’t need to submit your meter readings on 1st January because you have a smart meter” is a misleading message. I DO NEED to submit meter readings in order to generate a monthly Bill. Having just sent my meter readings now means that I will now get a Bill that is for a month and 11 days. So it does not help me to see my usage for December. The smart meter figures alter Day by day historically and month by month(when you look back they are never the same twice for the same day/week etc) and your historical records of my usage is also unreliable particularly when it shows one month in 2020 where your records show i used £10,000 of energy which is physically impossible and I certainly didn’t pay that bill!!
THEY DON’T REFUND ME
PLEASE GIVE ME MY REFUND BACK. This company is just terrible, when I’m moving out and paying for my last bill everything works perfectly. However, once you moved out the website and app crashed and you’ll never find a place to ask for your refund because the website is designed in a circle. Wherever says refund or request for a refund always direct you the web chat with their agent however there is never a real people. Always computer answering and then ended your conversation directly. I also struggled to login to both websites and apps they keep says incorrect password when i always use the same password plus my iPhone and google remember the password, when I reset my password I enter exactly the same old password and they keep says incorrect. After trying many time it let me login but again, every link goes on a circle, you will never be direct to request refund, they ask me to enter final meter reading, and I click enter again it says “please web chat to one of our agent to discuss your refund”. Again when you web chat there’s no option for real agent or refund the computer send you link on their website and end your conversation directly.
SO PLEASE REFUND ME YOU CANNOT MAKE YOUR WEBSITE AND APP WORST TO AVOID REUND TO CUSTOMERS
